Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I know what you mean. Its like the bike doesn't get properly locked up in the gear right? I'm also having that. Just completed 700 KM. It should be due to the smooth gear box has on gixxer.Originally posted by sufi859 View PostI am not giving jerks, I put on my bike on a slope with 1st gear on, and while putting my side stand on, I notice that bike is still moving downwards.

Is it rolling indefinitely? If not then how much is it rolling? At what inclination (slope angle) is the bike at?Originally posted by sufi859 View PostI am not giving jerks, I put on my bike on a slope with 1st gear on, and while putting my side stand on, I notice that bike is still moving downwards.
Also troubleshoot it on a flat surface. Put the bike in 1st gear and try pulling it backwards.
Putting a bike in gear doesnt mean it will lock up. It will move but there will be a lot of resistance which decreases as you go higher up in the gears. For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I experience this on a 30-45 degree ish slope and happened to me backward drag. Certainly there is some resistance but its not enough to stop my weight and the motorcycle. the byk goes backward kind of forcefully making a sound.Originally posted by MotoBlizzard View PostIs it rolling indefinitely? Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
30° to 45° is quite a significant inclination specially if you have a higher body weight. The sound comes from the reverse motion of the crank and piston.Originally posted by White Fang View PostI experience this on a 30-45 degree ish slope and happened to me backward drag. Always disembark from the bike before releasing the brakes while in first gear and the engine is OFFFor My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

Yeah, I weigh 80 KG but this doesn't happen on 10 year old Bajaj Discover 135.Originally posted by MotoBlizzard View Post30° to 45° is quite a significant inclination specially if you have a higher body weight. The sound comes from the reverse motion of the crank and piston.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hi, Could you please guide me for how to correct the clutch setting. I tried with SVC guys but they are not supporting & saying this is normal.Originally posted by NinjaAssassin View PostThen your clutch setting is fine. Try to place the gear lever further down. This will ensure you don't miss any shifts
Please share video link if you have. Thanks

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Does Gixxer have speedometer cable as shown. I don't think that my Hornet to have similar cable.Originally posted by White Fang View PostHave you tried servicing the speedometer sensor? There could be dust particles or a loose connection resulting this due to the accident. Try replacing the speedometer cable as well. [emoji106][emoji106]

Surely. I'll ask my local (trusted) mechanic for the same.
Thanks!

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
In Gixxer 155/GS, vehicle speed sensor is mounted on the drive/GB sprocket. On Hornet 160R/Shine SP, the same is connected to the gearbox here. There is no steel cable that rotates when the vehicle moves forward, like in the Splendor.Originally posted by Anupam Das View PostDoes Gixxer have speedometer cable as shown.
