Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Kindly post wall and road shots of both high and low beams and if possible pics of the stock beam shots. Mention the camera and settings too. Lastly for road shots, pls ensure you get entire width on a flat road. With conditons of pitch black, oncoming high beam and poor street light conditions.Originally posted by White Fang View Post@MotoBlizzard Nighteye bulbs has been rebranded to Novsight now. I replaced my HS1 with below product and results are satisfactory. The set comes with 2 bulbs so if its expensive then buy it with your friend to divide the cost.

Re: Battery drained
Oh boy!, every post on this thread is so relatable. I had predicted this, the very moment I got the AHO news. In theory the AHO was a move with good heart. But boy did I know with confirmation that Indian manufacturers were going to turn it into an exploitation!.Originally posted by alphamike_1612 View PostGuys, My Gixxer SF's battery is either drained or dead... It worked perfectly until today afternoon. I left the key in the on position and cut off my enigne with the kill switch, forgot to take the key out and left the bike as it was. Mine is the AHO model and the headlights drained the battery out..!! Mine is the fi model so I can't even kick the bike. Any idea on how much it would cost to charge the battery and how long it would take? I know it is my fault for leaving the key in the bike... But help me now please.
Coming to your case if u live near a mechanic tow the bike. Ur new battery is certainly not dead. If ur far away just call a mechanic or get one of those cheap socket sets, dismantle the battery and get it charged. Speaking about the price you should talk to a couple of different mechanics. Do report back. Pretty sure it won't cost more than ₹200-300.
Lot of the AHO problems are easily solvable by OEM's at very low investment of time and money. I intend make videos and blog posts on this subject soon.

I have seen the product reviews and youtube videos and decided to go for it. Just need to know how it plays with dust and water. I'm badly in need of this bulb for night driving [emoji29]
I daily ride in a dust, mud and water filled roads in heavy rain as well. I have only observed one issue when installing led bulb with fan. The fan picks up dispersing water mist (when engine becomes hot, spilled water to engine evaporated no) inside in to the reflector and stays there for a while. I must say i never experience what I said now during the road, stopped in traffic lights etc. I only seen this when i lightly was my bike after coming home to remove dust and mud parts from engine and other places.
I’ve been running my bike with above bulb for 2 months now. So far I’m happy with it. But converting into led didn’t give me huge light boost. Small roads are illuminated better with this light and on highway/rain these bulbs doesn’t give much to rider. Only you’ll be seen properly on road.

So, do you have any other option to go for which gives much better visibility than this LED? Aux lights?Originally posted by White Fang View PostDue to the fan module comes in the back of the light, dust cover can’t install as it is. Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Guys I have installed hikari H4 led it's one of the best available led bulbs out their....It's available on Amazon.comOriginally posted by Rajdip Saha View PostEven if go for the fan less leds which are available in bangood & aliexpress you won't be able to install the rubber cap behind the bulb which protects the reflector from dust and water, for this reason even I am a bit dicey in installing them. Well talking about the fan they claim it to be ipxx rated hope it will last but dust and water won't spare the reflector.
And trust me it's absolutely pure white and you will not need any auxiliary lights after using it..

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Absolutely true...!!! If all of us can get a rate card from Suzuki and then shove it into the SVC's face... That would be nice...!!!Originally posted by Brijesh M Nayak View PostOh dear SVC & their prices!. It's a mafia out there. They don't show you the real pricelist and quote prices on the top of their head. I faced a lot of problems like these.
Fun fact, a lot of the parts used on our bikes like headlight reflector, horn, tyres, switches, etc are manufactured by different companies and assembled by the bike manufacturer (Suzuki) in this case.
I needed a new headlight assembly for retrofitting and went to SVC. They quoted a freaking ₹1500!. Then I got it at a scrap market for ₹400. After some digging I found the OEM that makes the Gixxer headlights their price was around ₹500-600. I spent 3hrs + fuel + travelling in traffic & pollution to get a scrap headlight for saving just ₹100-200 upfront, I lost more energy, time and money in the end.
The same goes for car headlights. Most halogen reflector headlights from the OEM cost ₹800-1200.
Showrooms are absolute lootmarts. Showrooms and SVCs seem to have alarmingly low accountability. Something needs to be done.
If brake pads are outsourced like headlights, try to find the OEM, you'll probably get them at half the price.

So I'm sorry for not reporting back earlier but I did the Indian jugaad way of recharging my battery...!! I removed the battery charged it from the mains using my inverter and then replaced it... Bike now works like a charm...!!
Before anyone here comes by saying battery is going to lose it's life if you use a high amperage charger, recent studies state that number of recharge cycles are actually increased when the battery is charged at rates between C/5-5C
And yes AHO sucks, I wonder what ever happened to parking lights + dedicated DRLs... Damn TVS 50 has 4 LEDs for a DRL and a proper headlight assembly...!!
Damn you Suzuki..!!

When you buy parts from the Suzuki Spare parts department, does the packaging not have teh MRP sticker on it with the product code?Originally posted by alphamike_1612 View PostAbsolutely true...!!! I don't know how it is in your SVC, but in mine they get the parts from the Spares Dept. and then attach it themselves to the bike at workshop and finally only present me a bill...Originally posted by MotoBlizzard View PostWhen you buy parts from the Suzuki Spare parts department, does the packaging not have teh MRP sticker on it with the product code?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Well if thats the case then you can cross check the price by going to their spare parts department and checking the MRP tag on the original packaging. Infact when they bring complete parts to the workshop, those parts should be in their original packaging with the sticker on it. If you are not checking it prior to installation then its your fault.Originally posted by alphamike_1612 View PostI don't know how it is in your SVC, but in mine they get the parts from the Spares Dept. and then attach it themselves to the bike at workshop and finally only present me a bill...
So there you go
And what you said is followed in all service centers not just yours or not just in Suzuki SVCs. If you feel like they are cheating you with the final bill then you are always Free to cross check the prices. You dont need a rate card for this because like I said, MRP tags are already present on the packaging of the parts. For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE
