Also if you are installing in BS4 model do install a switch for headlight cause a friend using the same without switch screwed his Nighteye led headlamp
Ok on the plug and play.

What happened to the light without switch? Can you explain me in detail?

I still didn't complete my 4th free service, so I don't want to void the warranty by breaching BS4. (Or will it?)

Also, is it completely safe to "not use" the dust cover? Or can I cut it a little to route the wire and install the rubber cover?

I have NightEye with straight plug to the connector. Been using that for 2-3 months now. No issues noticed. Bulb is a very bright one indeed.

I have BS4 model assuming that means it comes with AHO feature. I have nighteye installed and as mentioned. I do kill the engine on high city traffic areas and color lights. No issues noticed like AHO drains the battery faster than normal. Self start runs without an issue on such of this event. Cheers.

See the thing me and my friend both installed on the same day on first week of jan 18 while mine being having the switch my friend using the fz 16 didn't. As he has to keep the headlight on during the day and night his leds got screwed automatically by may but battery seemed okayish , while mine still working fine till date. The thing is turning off kill switch doesnt turn off the headlight , i suppose that might have killed his headlight.
You can cut and use dust cap as u wish to !!

Any idea why his friends LED stopped working in his FZ-16?

                        This doesn't void warranty?

Hi guys,I am new here and this is my first post.

I own a Gixxer SP version bought in October 2016. I use it for my daily office commute(30 Km total) and the occasional long ride. This is the first ever bike i had bought. Following is my review after about 15k on my odo.

                            Pros
                            1. Ride and handling. Very very good compared to it's peers and the setup is perfect. The rear MRF tires are not too bad either.
                            2. Good tractability from low gears along with good top-end. The engine note is excellen as well. Overall a very good engine.
                            3. I am a mixed driver leaning towards safe rather than speed. Mileage of 50 Kmpl for my riding style is quite good.
                            4. This is certainly a bike for an enthusiast, only sore point being the gearbox.

                            Cons
                            1. Gearshifting is not smooth and it is certainly not an isolated case. Some people have told me to do a self-adjust, but it has yeilded no results. But, you kinda get used to it and it is definitely not a deal-breaker.
                            2. Switch gear. When riding without any gloves, some black paint get stuck to the hand(both sides). I am not sure whether this is from the levers or the handle. Anyway, this again is not that big a deal, but I am just concerned as many tend to eat while on a drive and it is certainly problematic in those cases.
                            3. Rear brakes. I have a rear disc version and frankly it is quite poor. I've already changed the pad & shim set, which cost me Rs.890. It is also preposterous that rear brake pads give in before the front brake pads. I wish in the future Suzuki equips the bike with bybre rearbrakes rather than the Nissin ones currently available.

Hello everyone. This is my first post on this site. I'm from Chennai and I've placed an order for the Gixxer ABS version. Will probably pick it up later this week.

I'm a noob here so please help out!

Quick question.. Is it ok to drive it around the city before getting the registration done ? Or should I wait for all the formalities to be completed before taking the bike out?

Temporary registration usually lasts for 1 month, so yeah you can ride around for 1 month until you get the bike permanently registered.

You are probably using the rear brakes incorrectly
