The SVC folks fixed the wobbling issue citing improper front wheel alignment and not a bend (as suggested earlier). I do spot a considerable difference now at higher speeds.

Done around 175 kms and noticed a mileage of 45 kmpl. Maintained a range of 60-65 kmph @4000-4500 rpm in a mix of highway and narrow road. Waiting for first service eagerly.

Observations: Butter smooth but still very responsive engine. Perfect combination of seat height, weight, seating posture. Fortunately did not face any problems till now like wobbling, chain sound or any other thing. Horn is relatively feeble but that's good in general and head light I wished tiny bit powerful but not a deal breaker.

I am around 5' 9 and come from 5 years of satisfactory abusing of pulsar 150 and have chosen gixxer over ns 200 for few reasons.

What is the spark plug in Gixxer? Does it has NGK G-power alternative?

Last time I checked on NGK-India, there was no G-Power substitute for Champion rg8yc

Hi everyone. Mt gixxer was giving 54 to 56 mileage. But it has come down to 52 to 53 recently ( i the same road) now i rode 740 kms. I started to notice some uzz uzz noise from engine side in a cotinous time interval. Today only i noticed that, the front disc brake is automatically braking the disc, and the front wheel is not revolving freely. I assume, that is what the reason for that sound. Any suggestions to free the brake?? Though i am going to leav for my first service in 2 days. Thanks

Compressed air or water will push out dirt particles from brake pads else the calipers need to be rubbed with a sand paper . showroom people know it so let them do it

uzz uzz.... noise must not be from engine...it must be from front disc.
Use the main stand of ur bike and rotate the front wheel ...check if the same noise comes out....it will be more clear.

Same reason for your mileage reduction.

Check online for brake disc alignment check. the mounting bolts can be aligned properly if you have good knowledge or better to give to SC guys.

Resolving this issue, you should again be getting 56km/l

Anthing thats 50+ should be good...better not to tweak the carb idling screw...

Check ur idling speed ...if it is as per the service manual than dont adjust.

Adjusting the screw will only affect ur idling speed!

Also pls share how you care ur bike..
Engine oil type, or whether u use any high octane fuel, general maintenance....It will help others to get such good mileage

Thank you.. I made it in centre stand yeasterday, and found that the brake is hugging the disc. Then only i found that the sound is from front wheel. I wil show to service centre. And should i tel them to adjust the air screw, or this mileage is ok??

I didnt use any special fuel, as i heard like, it wont benifit mush as they say. So i use ordinary petrol. Only thing is, i dont drive harsh. I never revd my bike more than 4500 rpm. And i follow the breaking in procedure that mentioned in manual and internet..
