It seems to be the problem with the disk brake shoes as already mentioned here. Planning to take it to the SVC this weekend. Also got to adjust the headlight throw.
Is there anyone else who bought from Aryan Suzuki domlur is facing the front disc issue?
Apart from this certain ignorant people have contributed to scratches on my blue gixxie. I feel as if they have stabbed me. Got to learn to live with it.
    Hi Manu,

I checked for that the moment i got my bike. Only done 100kms till now.
Tried rotating on main stand, listening for sound, i haven't been able to find this issue in my bike at all.
    Booked at 9-star suzuki.

Th eproblem however is very minor, just have to adjust the play on the brake shoe.

Also, i will be uploading pics of my bike now. Haven't done it till now!!

      Guys,

Please suggest affordable Gloves and Helmet which syncs with Black Gixxer . I can only find handful but unable to decide. My overal budget for tehm is around 2500 INR.
Checked Scoyco MC10, cramster , pro-biker gloves , suggest me any of these/any new ones. Cramster itself has more cost. And regarding helmet i don't know anything.

      Thanks in advance

gslp I would suggest you go for a helmet first for your budget I would suggest Vega Axxor /Studds Shifter and if you are so keen on gloves with limited budget Pro biker range would be good.Vega Axxor should cost you something 2.2k and Studds around 1.9k.Dont buy online go to the shop check the fitment try it out and buy.Axxor would be a better choice since it has a Dot certification and comes in black too.

Guys, regarding the front disc brake problem which many of you are facing, this is a common problem when the brake pads are new. Run the bike for about 1000-1500km, by this time the brake pads would have worn out a little and the problem will not exist anymore. This problem doesn't seem to be a manufacturing defect as many bikes with new brake shoes shows similar traits.
So if you don't have the time or patience to remove the brake calliper then brake pads and rub with sand paper etc, just wait it off for a few thousand km.

The chain...after 3 days of riding. Ok i guess. No rains thus far.

Let me know if you want a few more angles guys. Shot this on way to work in a hurry.

            Helmet is LS2 FF351

            Covered a 100kms thus far.

As far as riding is concerned, just have to adjust for the clutch release from 1st to 2nd. The gear shifting from 2nd day has become a bit hard. Also, this bike just wants to pull, once you shift to higher gears. Absolutely insane. Been to 60 twice, and i can feel the bike wants to pull more, but controlling myself and keeping under 4.5k RPM

A good resource for helmets comparison. Really amazing site......SHARP Helmets - THE HELMET SAFETY SCHEME

            Cheers!

As stated by many people already that little hiss sound is not a thing of concern and dont confuse the same with wheel wobbling both are two different issues. If any of you guys are concerned about wheel wobbling issue as stated earlier but bike in main stand and rotate the wheel with your hands if you see the wheel rotate freely you are doing good if it gets struck at places then possibility of 2 issues wheel bolt not locked properly as happened to one member out here last issue is a wheel bend.Hiss sound will disappear as you ride on it needs friction and wear and tear so relax and enjoy the ride guys.

Get it checked bro. Shouldn't be a major issue though. Not tot worry...all the parts need to get rubbed off a bit.

One thing i will say tough is that, for the first 2k kms in bangalore's horrible roads especially, waych the bumps and take it slow, in tubeless tyres especially, the alloy rims have a tendency to get bent, and the air seeps out. Seen this a lot in my friend's FZ.

Today morning left my bike for first service at 10.15 am after finished my night duty. Service person told that he will call by 5 pm. So i slept. But i woke up at 6.30 pm and found no call from them. I tried to call them. But no response. They closed the svc it seems. Really worried what happened to my bike.. And also having fear that they may miseuse my bike.

                        Sorry. Wasn't clear i guess.

It does reach. Just wanted to say that i was fighting the urge to go faster, thereby exceeding RPM limit which i didn't want to do.

As for your bike, hope you took an ODO reading to check whether they may have misused. Also, when giving it to service, is it possible to get a a sort of receipt of acknowledgement detailing the status/condition the bike was brought in. It can bring in a lot of transparency into the whole process, and remove a lot of headache for customers. Also serves as a good checkpoint for quality of service.

when I took bike to Svc for the second time to check with the sound from the front disc the svc guy again said its normal..Then he walked me to 4 new gixxer about to deliver and put them on center stand and rotated the front wheel..I heard the same sound from all bikes.
So I got to agree with him. Then I saw another gixxer just finished its first service. I asked its owner and we checked for the sound..The sound was there but its not as loud as new ones..
Mine is only rode 140 km.So I reached into a conclusion that the sound will disappear as bike runs more kms..

And guys this is not a wheel wobbling issue its just the disc pads..

Is it so? I think my rear tyre looses some pressure in 4-5days. Although its just a little amount, still it may be affecting the mileage. Is it a matter of concern?
The sense of freedom these two wheels give can never be matched by anything else...

Yes few FZ's have this problem, the old ones, but that could also be due to the flatter profile of the tires. There could be many number of reasons bro, iam not an engineer, but these problems have been observed.
Just take it easy for the first 1k-2k kms, thats all the advice i can give.

Your tyre will losr a bit of pressure after running. Just get the alloys checked whether thay are bent or not. But more often than not, it could just be paranoia
