srt99, Correct me with the terms. I am not well versed with them.
By modular if you mean Flip Up+Detachable then no.
But it is a Chin Flip Up and not Fixed Full face.
Bought it from one of the shop near Urvashi theatre, KG Road, Bangalore.

I think modular is simply flip up whereas fullface is not flip up or detachable . only visor can go up down. Like in motogp.

Rest are risk with style and of no use. Can save u from a cop but not from diablo

.....Only one thing that I would like to know is that the headlight is totally not appropriate for the highways. Similar is the case with the horn, but I installed another one along with the stock one. So, what can be done about the light?
Also, I didin't find the speedo cable anywhere. But while on center-stand if the rear wheel rotates, the speed-o-meter comes alive. (I managed to get a reading of 139kmph like that!!!)
              Please enlighten.
Hello again... I had posted my concerns few days back, but no one has responded since. I would really appriciate someone clarifying me about the doubts mentioned earlier. Thanks.
The sense of freedom these two wheels give can never be matched by anything else...

Yesterday night had posted a complaint on the Suzuki website regarding 4 issues. Just now got a call from the SVC asking what was the issue. here are they:

                1. Oil filter was not replaced - On 29th SVC said spares not available - today they have it and will replace it.
                2. Air filter was not cleaned - They will clean it now - surprising how they skirt work
                3. False between 4 and 5 gear slots - they will now look into it - I had mentioned it in the job card.
                4. Buzzer price was 90 rs whereas market Minda is available for 36 rs. - they now claim it was including labour charges. I told them nowhere in the bill it is said about the labour charges, neither did they mention it to me. Also I had bought it directly from the spares division and then got it fitted after the Invoice was generated. Now they say they will look into it.

The money involved is trivial - It is the attitude that annoys me the most. Why do they take the customer for granted and think we don't understand anything about bikes and they are the overlords in this domain.
Similarly yamaha quoted me 200 for the headlight bulb with 50rs labour whereas it is available in market for only 110rs including labour.

                    Hello All,

I have a big doubt in Yamaha FZS FI. Will running on low fuel (approx half or 1 litre) damage the fuel injection system. Also what will be the approximate charge for Cleaning FI system after 6000kms. Did any one experiance it.

Low fuel will fry the fuel pump as its submerged in the fuel inside the tank .
Didn't clean my injection system for past 30k km and people seldom clean it .
Only the fuel filter gets changed regularly.

Thank you for your response. The problem is the Fuel indicator start blinking when there is 2.4ltrs in tank. So i just wait few more kms to measure the Fuel Efficency. Under 1liters then i need to refill. Correct?

Finally, i have completed 1300kms with no big issues. having great fun with the same.

Please share your experiance or Problems. Few from my side:
                        1. Some tips to maintain bike in good condition
                        2. ENgine sound increased after 1st service.
                        3. After 70 to 80kms bike feels to start vibrate. is that true?
                        4. When is the best time to shift gears.(1st gear = rpm?)2nd gear = rpm?

Please take up your query in the FZ v2 thread will you? We don't want any confusion as to what bike is being discussed about.

Of late, the last few pages in this thread is going off topic.
Owns a baby Gixxer starting Jan '15

I think yamaha is charging 2000rs/- for cleaning FI system which will add 33paisa per kilometer to the running cost. Running cost or Yamaha FZ FI is higher than gixxer and old FZ. Old FZ and Gixxer will sip little bit more fuel whereas FZ FI will sip 2000rs after every 6000kms.
