Re: My experience with the gixxer
Thanks for your opinion bro,but I feel its the other way round. If you compare it with any other sportsbike, you will come to know whether gixxer looks like a dirtbike or a sportsbike without the fat rear mudguard. You must check out rear designs of pulsar 200ns & cbr 150r or 250r. Gixxer looks too muscular(even from the rear) to be compared to a dirt bike.Originally posted by livingsoul View PostPersonally I don't know why is it just me or Is there anyone else too,Who feels that Removing that Extended Mudguard Spoils the looks of the Bike?
For many fellow GXR'ians this may be their personal opinion that removing mud guard's extended portion give it better looks......But i feel opposite...
Even I feel that Street sport looks from the back diminishes When you remove that mud guard and it starts looking like more of dirt bike,This thing is annoying as far as my perspective is concerned!
Anyone else having same opinions as me???
And I must say another reason that I wanted to remove that mudguard is because I wanted to show off that fat rear tyre.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I took test ride last month and booked the bike; but after reading this post I again took a test ride and found engine gets heated up quickly. When inquired with the dealer he told that engine will emit heat. But I have not seen this in yamaha and honda bikes. Does anyone experience this. Now I am having a second thought about buying this bike.Originally posted by Ankur Walia View Postare u guys getting engine overheat issue?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Every engine will emit some heat. That's what machines do. And the gixxers engine heat is barely noticeable. I drove 50kms yesterday and i did not feel anything of that sort.Originally posted by sancbein View PostI took test ride last month and booked the bike; but after reading this post I again took a test ride and found engine gets heated up quickly. All new engines heat up and its the case with every bike. This heating issue will get resolved after riding few hundred kms.Originally posted by sancbein View PostI took test ride last month and booked the bike; but after reading this post I again took a test ride and found engine gets heated up quickly. Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
That will really be very helpful for the current suzuki owners and it will help to bring in more customers for suzuki. But still question marks will be there for quality of service and availability of spares, as I do not have good feedback from current suzuki owners. And I guess you can service from any suzuki SVC.Originally posted by ganjasaurus View PostYes there are only two service center in Kolkata & North area. The good news is, these days I see in newspaper suzuki advertising for dealerships in places between those areas if that happen & probably will it would be convenient for many suzuki owners.
The question is now whether it would be possible to swap service center after purchase.Never ride faster than your guardian angel can fly. ~Author Unknown

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hi guys,
Iam going to book my gixxer tomorrow.
Just curious to know whether any of you paid extra for the number plate? I mean, if any of you staunchly believe in numerology and stuff.
Apparently '8' is very bad for the bike, but number 7 & 9 are good?
Ok, wont ramble, but, any of you paid for a specific number plate? And how much does it cost?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
May be it differs from state to state.. In Tamil Nadu it is Rs 2,500/- for a fancy number.... Yes.. I got the exact number what i requested for....Originally posted by radikel View Post2.5K??.. I was told it was 7k. At least in bangalore then??
2.5k? got you the exact number you wanted?
First thing is you need to check for the current series in your RTO... Usually the dealer updates you this.... Next thing, you need to choose the number from the aval series range.... If not you will need to wait for a long time until that series is opened....
