No. It is different and here are the pictures. Sorry for the poor quality pictures.
And in my personal opinion, riding without an filter is safer than installing a K&N filter.

Gixxer's air filter. Surprisingly, it is cheaper than that of GS.

Rs. 115 for Air Filter is pretty cheap

congratulations! BTW, seeing a lot of people buying the Gixxer after owning a ZMA which is a bigger bike in many aspects! Any specific reasons why?

How different is the Gixxer when compared to your previous ride? Would love to get all your views on this.

raintree & kathi.... HH ZMA R was a fantastic bike... Served me very well for 5.5 yrs.. It had some electrical issues, service center's went crazy identifying the problems, They had no clue why it happened... I was completely fed up with them as they were not able to fix it....Did around 88K kms when i finally sold it....

Was looking for a new bike.... The newer refreshed Karizma was juz soar to my eyes... I couldn't believe that Hero made my bike look so bad... So Karizma & Karizma R both dropped without a second thought irrespective of good power, torque, Fuel injection & all those....

The next obvious choice was Pulsar 200 NS & Pulsar 220F : I have heard both were very good performers & importantly affordable.... They were my second choice...If Gixxer didn't impress me, i would have bought it...

When Suzuki launched Gixxer & most of the journals said the bike was designed with inputs from Moto GP engineers, i was completely sold... I wanted to feel what Moto GP experience can do for a bike and to my surprise, Gixxer is fantastic bike... Coming from a Karizma, it has never made me feel that am riding a less capacity bike (Solo)...

Well then, my cousin owns a 200 NS. I've ridden it quite some times and there this awkward vibrations felt when pushed it hard. Ps I don't ride bikes much and in that perspective, correct me if I'm wrong . I just own a suzuki access since my college days and here planning to get the Gixxer too.
I've rounded to 2 or 3, like the Gixxer or Fz Fi or the upcoming Honda 160cc. And this thread has been bookmarked since the its inception .Thanks to the owner of this thread and apparently the first proud Gixxer owner on Xbhp.

Per my experience, service manuals popped up in Spanish language GS150R & FZ16-S. So, if GiXXeR-155 is released in Spanish speaking countries then we've a high probability of finding the service-manual over internet soon.

Recently I found GW250(Inazuma)'s service-manual from a Netherlands' host in proper English. Apparently Europeans are more liberal.
Agree with you it can be called leaking.
Company does not provide service manual but some generous guys manage to leak them on internet after few years .
I believe manufacturers should peovide service manual to base customers if they cannot provide skilled and educated mechanic on service center.

Service manual is really a treasure and providing it to interested customers doesnot harm the company.Any way it is not the blue print of the product.

I own fz and ride ns.NS belongs to my maternal uncle but he cant drive bike.He bought NS just because he wanted to own a bike but a little bit afraid to ride bike in traffic.

Have completed1679kms on ns.Havent pushed it hard though but can say fz,gixxer and every other 150 cc bikes are no match to the performance of ns.Vibration issue creaples in only when bike is suddenly accelerated.

Only downside of ns is its fuel efficuency ia a bit low and feels life 150cc bikes when easy on throttle.

Fz has fuel efficiency a little bit higher than that of ns and is best handler.

Gixxer may have best efficiency and performance is just like fz at lower speed (i did a test ride on new bike so was easy with throttle.)

Gixxer is a damn good allrounder but i personally feel its headlight design is crap.

Claimed fuel efficiency of gixxer is what attracts me to gixxer.

Thanks god you didnt miss to write SOLO.

Karizma pulls really great on shear uphill.

Initially till 250-300 kms i too had these but now at post 500kms Heating issue has disappeared...
Since the Engine of gixxer is made of Aluminium..I heats up quickly and also cools down pretty quick. So please don't be concerned about such issues...

With regard to waiting period even I was told 30-35 days in Chennai should be the same as this bike was released in September only. With regard to OTR Price you can cross verify the same in suzuki website they will give you exact details of the price.Number plate is not included in OTR price some dealers do it free some charge for it.
