What is the quantity of oil they used during oil change?850 ml or 950ml?...........It should be 950 ml because when the oil filter is changed it should be 950 ml, if the oil filter is not changed it will be 850 ml.Please post a clarity picture of that Motul Lube oil can when you visit SVC next time.ya 200 rupees for chain lube is expensive. can we deny the chain lube during next service so that we can do ourselves(SVC's talk about warranty claim voids and all)?

Apologies, yes it ought to be 950 ml when Oil-Filter is changed.

Note that Off-Road chain lube is also available and it's not for on-road motorcycles. Perhaps, it's(off-road) more sticky.

I believe they must have changed 950ml of Engine Oil.... I think we can deny the chain lube which will not be covered under warranty.... Will upload clear picture of Engine oil tomorrow...

Guys. Is it ok to take the bike to 6-7k rpm a few times? I rarely do that. Must have done like 7-8 times till now. Also i accelerated the bike till 80kmph 2-3 times. Is it ok? I have conpleted 250kms now. Looking forward to first service soon .

                      Stupid Question!

If the manual says not to rev the engine and not to ride above a certain speed limit, and u seem to have done that, then you have screwed your bike a little bit. Ride some more like that, and you will screw it a little bit more. After you have screwed it well and truly over, throw it out and buy a new bike and screw it over yet again!

If you want to hear a real answer, its NOT ok to take a new bike to 6-7k rpm a few times. It takes close to 8-10000 kms for the internals to settle in and smoothen out. You need to vary the RPM, but not rev it high. If you use the Search function in the forums, you'll get this recommendation by multiple members. If you cant search, then RTFM!

What's the point in asking after you "rarely" screwed it 7-8 times?

i guess pushing it to that high rpm is not recommended but once or twice before first service is fine. i read it reduced engines life, so control yourself until first service

is there any restriction on number of kms covered per day before first service? (ofcourse i will be riding at 50-55kmph without breaching rpm beyond 4500)
i am planning to take the bike for long ride of about 300-350kms ( covered in two days).

Take breaks after an hour of riding. Keep the engine within its RPM limit, sudden bursts of speed is 'ok'.

No restriction on kms you cover in a day.
