I got it fitted from the showroom itself @rs 400,The guy was asking rs610 something but i managed to bargain it for 400 and another rs 1200 helmet for free .
Congrats on your new bike buddy...
Coming to your queries, engine heating is common in a new bike.... Heating will gradually reduce after first service....

If your bike doesn't idle, you can adjust idling if you know (or),run thru the manual on how to do it... If you are not comfortable doing it, take it to the service center and it is a matter of few mins only..

Thank you for posting the picture of the battery. I am really not able to infer from the picture if there is more room for a bigger battery or not. And by bigger battery I mean lenght wise.
3AH or 4AH can power 55/60 but the battery's life will become short which leads to kickstarting in the morning. I have seen this on my friends FAZER and DC converted Glamour and CD deluxe.
      Navratri wishes.

The battery's function is starting the bike. After that all the electrical works on the power from the stator coil through RR. So, a 3 or 4 ampere battery is enough if fully charged and the lights and horn are not continuously used when engine is switched off. More than that, most of the light weight bikes without kick start are with lower capacity battery.
The stator coil and the RR of the bike does not supply enough current for 55/60 watts bulb unless the coil is rewound with thicker 19 or 18 swg wire and the RR is replaced. As the power to the lights are from the RR, the capacity of the battery is not relevant.
All batteries get slowly discharged when not in use. When the voltage goes below 12.5 or so, starting the bike with it becomes difficult.

Since I am new to biking I request you guys to address my concerns regarding Engine heat up(sudden),low mileage.
Today when i started my bike i wanted to let my bike idle for a moment(Neutral gear) without pulling accelerator...but to my surprise the engine stopped after 20-30 seconds. Is it the case with every bike?? I am tense if this is a fault??
Since In cars if you let it at Neutral and don't put your foot on accelerator, car Engine keeps revving.

Except these 2-3 Problems,I am in love with this machine. ////

Engine throws off a lot of heat before first service..just ensure that you don't rev too much. Also, the morning start tends to be cold...meaning the bike needs a good couple of starts before moving on...same in hondas n yamahas. So don't worry.

Yesterday swapped the stock horn with Roots dual horn with Melody Maker... I don't like these funny sounds, juz straight & louder ones for the highway's...

Total cost of the hardware was 1,050 Rs, installation was an other 150Rs...

Attaching a picture for your reference...

Thanks buddy... Good luck on your new bike... I have done 20 - 30 kms of pillion riding on Gixxer so far, yes it is comfortable... Am 5'9" around 72 Kg.. I think for someone who is reasonably tall and not too obese should have no probs for a pillion ride...

The seat is already well cushioned for a comfortable ride for both solo & pillion rider... So my opinion is you need not add more cushion else the pillion seat might look too high and can scare people

A custom make seat cover with no branding printed would look nice and safeguard the stock one...
