I am also getting around 41-42. Infact the fuel Indicator blocks response is not as uniform with quantity of oil....what I mean is when my fuel tank is half(according to fuel block indicator) In a matter of few Kms it shows less...i.e block lower than half....But then the next block takes you Miles without descending down.

Coming to your queries, engine heating is common in a new bike.... Heating will gradually reduce after first service....

If your bike doesn't idle, you can adjust idling if you know (or),run thru the manual on how to do it... If you are not comfortable doing it, take it to the service center and it is a matter of few mins only..

    Thanks for info dude...

    What's a Melody maker btw??
I am also thinking to change my bike's horn since the stock one is Pathetic for this bike.

Hmmm... May be the float inside the tank is acting weird which is causing the bars on the speedo to show incorrectly...

BTW any links for speedo error & correct numbers...

The actual cost of the horn was 800 Rs... The Melody Maker is the one which makes this funny sounds.... I don't know the exact word is English... Mechanics call them cut-out horn... I think it is the circuit

Stock horn is too feeble on crowded highways hope you too looking for Roots horn (or),some other....

        Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155

Please make a list of the proud owners and add me to it. Bought a gixxer today. Got the loan processed in 1 hr and took the delivery hand to hand. :veryhappy:

Looking forward to some nice road trips now. The power and handling on this beast is superb. Will rip it once the first service is done.

        :yippee:

Can someone share the make-model of spark-plug used in GiXXeR-155? You can find it in the owner's manual.

Thanks guys. Drove about 50kms yesterday. And i have to say, the engine is a beauty. Smooth and powerful. But the seating position is a bit uncomfortable, my buttocks started hurting in about 20mins and the pillion was in the same condition. The ground clearance is low and the double stand hits the speedbreakers when you have a pillion on. The pickup is mindblowing. Didn't take it above 60kmph or 5k rpm but i could still feel how powerful this beast is. On my way back to home from the showroom, i did speed instantly from 10-60 on a wide road and the sound from the exhaust was a treat to the ears. Even the people riding aside me were looking as if i were riding a superbike . All in all, this is definitely an eye catcher. People kept on asking price and what model and whether it was reliable or not. Also people kept on staring at it too as if it were a star of some sort. Had to get myself free from their nazar and performed that ritual as soon as i reached home (yeah superstitious me ) . My final words would be that this bike is a beast and at 81500Rs, this beats the shit out of FZ.

Will update on average figures after the first service. Saying anything now will be unfair and unjust.

One more thing, i rode the bike with chappals and shifting the gears up was a bit hard. At first it was fine but as i started shifting frequently, my foots top side started paining. Any fixes for this?

I dont think so ....i have tested this bike against an fz ....it all depends on the rider ...both the machines are almost identical .
