Delhi-Mussoorie-Delhi one day trip (this Sunday) once again Gixxer performs really-really awesome continuous running for 200 kms non -stop @ 90-95 kms/hr with one up.
Mileage on highway: 40-42 kms/l, mileage on hills: 15-20 kms/l.

Started from Delhi at 10.00 PM saturday reached Mussoorie at 5.00 (320 kms total) took 5 hrs rest at hotel went for local sight seeing and exploration started return trip at 4.00 PM reached to Delhi via Yamunagar (380 kms).

Usually think to buy a bigger bike but couldn't find even single reason to ditch my Gixxer:

Both will be for 200-225 Rs, one should always keep one spark plug as spare to avoid any problem on long trips.

guys i have a few queries.

1- i have tried three svcs and all of them are bad.they overfill the engine oil,put too much of oil on the chain, yes not lube but oil and had a instance where there were smoke coming from the cat.so since a long time i have been changing the oil and filter myself.recently changed the air filter and sparkplug.so what i want to know is if i want to change the clutch and accelerator cable can i do it in the svc without taking that service/owners book with me and giving it to them.will the service if i dont show them the book.

2-anyone changed the part called tensioner.most of my friends are changing it after hearing tak tak sound from the engine.

                              1. Clutch and throttle cable change is not part of the general service so you will have to pay for the items+labor charges separately. Meaning you dont need the Service book.

                              2. Not sure what that is, what part is it exactly and where is it located?

so that means i only need the book if am going to do the regular service or if i want to avail the warranty. tensioner is located inisde the engine head.
