Its a maintanace free bike, but for pillion seat comfort you should definetly rethink, better do a test drive as its seat is a bit high for ladies and might cause discomfort during long drives ..take a test drive with your mom or just ask her to sit and see how she feels.

Better lights for Gixxer
I have been riding a Suzuki Gixxer since last 3 months and I do quite a lot of night rides. Though I'm happy with the bike's performance, the headlight intensity is really terrible during night rides on highways. I recently changed the stock bulb to a 55/60w bulb by Phoenix. It's better than the stock one but still not enough for highway rides. Guys please help me how can I have more light. As a side note I would like to mention that recently I rode a RE Classic 350 during night and the headlight performance was really good. It uses the same 55/60w bulb that I have on my bike but has better intensity and throw than my bike's.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Yes, you can ride the bike at the speeds mentioned. It's very comfortable at those speeds with just minor vibrations on the footpeg. It can hold 85 km/h whole day long. Even more than that. I cruised at 85-95 km/h for around 650 kms, and it returned 41 km/l.Originally posted by long ride View PostCan it be driven all day long for long touring at 80-90 kmph speed, off course with usual breaks every 2 hrs?
And what milage can be expected during such rides on highway?
Ride safe,
Anant.

Anybody Guys?Originally posted by gnan10 View PostHi guys,
I have done 850km on my Gixxer and done with first servicing. But I am noticing strange whistling sound in 3rd gear when I release the accelerator and when the speed drops from 40-30. Performance wise no issue. This sound irritating a bit. Usually we will see this kind of exhaust sound always in standard Pulsars. Does Anyone having same issue?

Mine is 4500-3500. Soon after releasing the accelerator. Is there anyway to prevent that harsh thrashing sound?Originally posted by debargha.kit2 View PostIf your talking about a harsh thrashing sound it depends on different tuning of bike which kicks in on a certain rpm band
My bikes sound sounds harsh at 4500-5500
Beyond that its sounds good again

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hi
I did my first service a few days back. For quite a few days, even before the servicing..i feel the engine makes some noise while around 4.5k rpm..like a 110 cc bike would make when driven in 70-80 kmph speed. Is that sound normal..or should there be no sound in engine and it is expected to be smooth and silent???

Its in her run in periods
It will settle down
Yes it does makes a bit more growl compared to others but feel the vibes not the sound
The vibes will give away if you are pushing the bike
If there is no vibes on the tank or footpegs then rest assured
