I recently got the second free service done and as you know the pathetic service centers, i got one query to ask you guys that,
When i bought the bike, the throttle response was great and while shifting from neutral to 1st gear as soon as i released the clutch lever the bike used to start rolling,
But after the first service when i released the clutch lever i had to release it more in order to get the bike rolling.
And when i got the second service done, after that i have to almost release the clutch lever quite a lot in order to get the bike moving, is it normal? Or is there some issue?
.
'Sorry for any mistakes that might have happend with my post, as i'm new to XBHP, it might take some time getting used to'
Thanks in advance guys!
The service center folks have probably tightened your clutch. It would be normal if they've set the clutch play to what the user manual suggests. 😁

That shouldn't be an issue though, right?
The only thing that seems to be an issue up till now is the dirt smearing on my bike.

Hey.. I see fog lights installed. Whats the wattage of these lights? Do they affect battery? What is the total wattage of headlight and two foglights?

Had an accident about a week ago. Was wearing all the gears, the reason why I'm typing this. Even though the crash was bad, me and my gixxer got away with some minor injuries. Wanted to know the cost of the grab rail? Handlebar is a little bent too, to the right. Straightening it again won't be an issue for the svc guys, right?

ravik. lights are 20 watts each pair. the totall wattage is 75 (20 on both foglight and 35 watts on the headlight) It does not affect the battery in any way since i had it installed with a separate switch.

1. Chain: I have face some issues in the chain since the beginning. around 8000 km during a long trip (500 km in a day) chain started giving "tak-tak" noise in one full rotation. Went to the SVC but they dint help. Ultimately i posted the issue on gixxer FB page regarding the issue and in a day or two i got several calls from SVC technicians from various places. Chain was then changed for free of cost. I was really happy to see company's attitude. (issue was two of the goti/keys in chain was jammed).Since then i have driven my bike for more than 22000 KM. Now again that same sound has started to come. may be its time to change the chain. Though SVC mechanic said that the locking key(yellow one) is not working properly. It can be changed without changing the whole chain. So if anyone else is having the same issue kindly get it checked. Usually there wont be any issue with the alignment or sprockets.

Awesome review out there mate.

Appreciate it.

When you said you have written in Gixxer FB page, can you please let me know name of the page. A link to that page would be more helpful as we also have many issues regarding chain and engine noise. Please throw some light on this and help me out bruh.

Handlebar has to be replaced. Dont worry its not costly (around 300-500 rs. dont remember the exact price ). After fitting the new handle bar just check whether the handle is moving freely or not.
I have changed my handlebar once. New one had glossy finish so liked it

I have found that individual parts of gixxer are not very expensive. I changed some of the parts just because they look old

I will post the FB page here. However this thing happened in march or April 2015 so I will have to search. Please give me one day time.

Regarding engine noise dont worry. Engine of gixxer is probably the best in the class. If the noise is very awkward then get it checked else any smaller change will go away with kilometres. Even now sometimes I get different noise in engine when I drive it for more than 200 KM in one run at high speed. However it becomes normal after some rest.

Regarding Chain check whether the noise is because of the lock key or not. It can be changed. Also lubricate well. With my case i believe i drive more in muddy area where bike gets covered in mud after 3-4 drive. And I am not able to clean and lube chain that frequently. So take good care of chain. Open chains are made for racing tracks only i guess Many people have posted about chains issue. Since it is my first open chain bike so I cant comment much. but I must say that when I took good care of it and cleaned and lubed it properly, I never had/have any issue.

Okay guys. I visited service center today for oil change. They tried to tell me about oil additives and flushing. They said oil additives improve viscosity and flushing will remove the carbon.

As for my bike it has run 2500 kms in 2 years. How significant are these things? Experienced professionals please enlighten me.
