Yup, new bike. Changed after I got a puncture right outside the showroom.

Wow! You have already installed the Michelin Pilot Street Radial...Originally posted by Shashank K R View PostIt fits perfectly on the rim. The height of the rear goes up a little and as a result the ground clearance is a little higher. Absolutely no loss in acceleration felt. Speed and odo readings are affected though, from what I observed there's a deficit of 2kms on the odo for every 22kms travelled.

Yes speed & odo readings will be slightly less than actual, but that's no concern since the difference is very minor.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Bro!! What if i change my rear tyre to pilot street radial 130/70 instead of stock 140/60. Any noticeable difference in pickup or mileage or road grip. Along with them any merits or demerits?Originally posted by Shashank K R View PostYup, new bike. Changed after I got a puncture right outside the showroom.
Just your opinion.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I faced a similar issue with my Suzuki dealer before Diwali. After writing to their official email ([email protected]) and posting my query in social media (Facebook, Twitter) I got the problem solved within 4 days. Previously the dealer said it would take 15 to 20 days for the part to arrive. Matter was solved in 4 days flat.Originally posted by Hitesh100 View PostThis is really Frustrating after sales service provided by SUZUKI
. I went to the the Dehradun's only ASC for accidental repair after by headlight & mudguard broke and the service engineer without looking at the bike said that don't have spare parts available for the bike ,come back after 15-20 days . This was his same words when I went for Oil leak issue last time, that they don't have the required part with them but i was able to solve that problem on my own then.
I called my policy surveyor he too confirmed this issue with gixxer bikes that showroom people wont get done any thing before 1 month as they never keep any spare parts with them. I am screwed now I wonder why I bought this bike instead of HONDA or BAJAJ at least I would have got there parts easily

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Not much of a difference, contact patch is reduced though. Height will still increase compared to stock. There shouldn't be any change in acceleration, but mileage may be affected. Also speedo and odo readings will have some small errors.Originally posted by gnan10 View PostBro!! What if i change my rear tyre to pilot street radial 130/70 instead of stock 140/60. Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
But it can still fit our Gixxer right. After fitting it to rim because of it's rounded profile it looks more like 140/70 than 150/60. Most people says fixing this tyre increases much better grip on wet and dry roads. That's what made me to consider this tyre too.Originally posted by Shashank K R View PostRevz c1 is 150/60. It's soft compound and puncture prone.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Resolved it by myself. Shut off the carb knob and let the engine run. Once the fuel in the little tube from carb to combustion chamber got utilised the engine stopped as expected. Then I turned on the carb and voila! no more leaking.Originally posted by nnagap72 View Post
That pipe is an overflow pipe. To remove excess fuel from carburetor fuel chamber. There is a carburetor float which controls the overflow, like a normal float from any water tanks/toilet flushes. May be it is stuck in your case. Get it checked by a mechanic. It may not be doing its job of stopping the fuel flow from the tank to carb.
