It only happens after riding in traffic, once the engine is heated.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Can you share conditions when your engine gets overheated? Because I never faced any issue in throttle during long rides, and engine doesnt gets overheated.Originally posted by Biker23 View PostGuys am facing very poor throttle response once the engine heats up, is anyone else also facing the same?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
It heats up even after short ride(>3km)and even more in traffic and also if I rev it past 5k rpm and is accompanied by some noise in the engine once its hot.Originally posted by rav3n6 View PostCan you share conditions when your engine gets overheated? But,when took it to ASC they are telling its normal.

How many kilometers have you clocked on your engine? You engine oil changed on proper time? You mentioned noise, might be case of misfiring. Heating up is normal but if you're feeling the heat in near your legs in such a short duration than its absolutely not normal. Get this properly checked.Last edited by rav3n6; 09-10-2016, 05:10 PM.

Get the AFR checked. Lean mixture can cause overheating as well as poor throttle response. How old is the bike? Was the air filter cleaned recently?Originally posted by Biker23 View PostIt heats up even after short ride(>3km)and even more in traffic and also if I rev it past 5k rpm and is accompanied by some noise in the engine once its hot.

It's very close to 3k on the odo,and engine oil already changed thrice. Nope it's not misfiring, it's continuous, audible during idling.Originally posted by rav3n6 View PostHow many kilometers have you clocked on your engine? You engine oil changed on proper time? (3k on the odo)If it was lean mixture,my mileage would have increased but I'm only getting around 38kmpl.Yes it is cleaned, just did my 3rd svc few days back.Originally posted by sanjaynk15 View PostGet the AFR checked. Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hi guys,
I have done 850km on my Gixxer and done with first servicing. But I am noticing strange whistling sound in 3rd gear when I release the accelerator and when the speed drops from 40-30. Performance wise no issue. This sound irritating a bit. Usually we will see this kind of exhaust sound always in standard Pulsars. Does Anyone having same issue?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Well don't know about the engine heating up..but as far as the throttle response.check the throttle cable..I had a problem. Where it would rev slowly and won't go above 5k rpm..solved it by adjusting the throttle cable..please do check the cable.Originally posted by Biker23 View PostGuys am facing very poor throttle response once the engine heats up, is anyone else also facing the same?

OK guys went for an offroad adventure about 24km..uphil was not so hard..but downhill was very hard..the rear mrf just kept sliding...and I started falling to one side.but luckly got my foot down but had to put the bike down slowly...so my concern is if the handle bar is bentbent..when I lifted the bike the mirror was loose..fixed it..few.scratches on the front brake lever and on the exhaust guard..other than that nothing..on the way back rode the bike by taking.both the hands of the handlebar..the bike rode in a straight line..so is the handlebar ok..?how do I know its bent?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Gixxer is a good bike but @ 80 to 90 kmpH both Gixxer and Apache rtr 200 gives more or less the same mileage ..on the other hand hornet returns 40 at those speeds ..but Gixxer has slightly better handling in the city...hornet has better comfort and mileage but heard some people speaking abt quality issues .i ride a Gixxer and believe me the drum brake is a crap after riding for some time when the drum gets hot it becomes spongy and doesn't give good results so go for the disc version..also pillion seat comfort is nill for more than 20 mins drive.Gixxer will give good mileage only when you are easy with the throttle and at speeds 55 to 60 kmph but it wants you to twist it hard as it is so fun to ride☺.Originally posted by mayurthemad View PostHello everybody, I am going to buy Gixxer after 2 weeks.
Can anyone give me tips since I am a first time buyer ??
Hoping to get a response

what about its ownership costs + accessories necessary for the bike.
I would also like to know if it's seat comfortable for ladies, since my mom is also going to ride with me..
Anything more info is also appreciated since I am a complete noob.
