Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Motul chain cleaner and lube are readily available at most SVCs, I currently use motul chain clean(from svc) + 3M chain lube(purchased from amazon long ago).Originally posted by sen2693 View PostHi,
I know this question has been answered before but I could not locate the exact post....
What are the best chain lube spray and engine oil options for gixxer?
As far as engine oil is concerned preferably stick to the motul mineral oil available at the svc if you're under warranty otherwise you can opt for the motul 5100 semi-synthetic.

The engine noise is almost reduced. But still getting low fuel efficiency and engine heats up.Originally posted by Shashank K R View PostLean mix doesn't necessarily give better mileage. It gives more problems like what Sanjay said.
Are you sure lean mix doesn't give better mileage?
Here the svc people are not agreeing to tune the carb.
Thinking of taking it to local Mech.

Don't know about the mileage that lean mix gives you..but it gives you poor throttle response when you start reving it.Originally posted by Biker23 View PostThe engine noise is almost reduced. But still getting low fuel efficiency and engine heats up.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Oil level is fine . Anywhere between the max-min marks is okay . It should never go below the minimum mark or exceed the maximum mark , so I think keeping halfway is good practice as it provides a margin for error both ways . But do check your owner's manual about details for correctly checking the level as it's easy to get false reading by mistake ( eg keeping bike on non-level place etc ) .Originally posted by skyliner34 View Post.. So is this level fine or needs topping?

Anyone changed the rear tyre? Any suggestion other than the stock and the continental...personally I love the mrf revz c.but is it puncture prone because of the soft compound.and has anyone changed oil and oil filter by themselves?Last edited by shadowrider; 09-18-2016, 06:49 PM.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Stick with factory recommended tyres. As for oil and oil filter change. They are both easy. If you have good rapport with your preferred SVC mechanic, you can ask him to teach you how to do such basic maintenance work. Since I am still in warranty period, I have to go to the SVC for oil and filter changes. But I do those changes myself. They dont mind. They do rest of the maintenance stuff like checking the sparkplugs, valve clearances, Brake pad cleaning, air filter cleaning. Thats about it actually.Originally posted by shadowrider View PostAnyone changed the rear tyre? Also Chain cleaning and lubing is actually optional so you dont have to get that done. You can do it yourself. Buy a litre of diesel (manual states not to use Kerosene otherwise Kerosene is better than diesel) and a 400ml Can of Motul Chain lube. And you are set for 2-3 months. Clean and lube your chain every other weekend. Wash your bike every weekend. During rains, you might wanna clean and lube your chain every weekendFor My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hi Guys ,
I have small issue my gixxer , first of all it's well maintain did all the serveries at a right time with company ...
problem is having unnecessary chain sound ( tak tok kat kat like sound ) unable to discover it's coming from chain or sprocket
sound getting increase when riding with 2nd person , then company saying change the front sprocket , but never solve the problem ,
my bike mileage around 10000KM , anyone have idea about this issue .and i'm going to change the service station , i think local service station better than company ..
