Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
If its the oil that's causing the issue then you should tell them.. Here they have upgraded to Motul 3T or something i don't remember.. Someone posted it beforeOriginally posted by benryu View PostMaybe clearing out stock. I specifically asked them why they weren't using motul during my first service and they said Suzuki had changed it and I read the same in the forum also.

Common problem.. It automatically goes away.. But what do you mean by hard bite soundOriginally posted by bike ryder View PostGuys a whistle sound is heard from my disk brake while running slowly., eventhough the svc guys cleaned the brakes., still the sound comes. Also there is a hard bite sound from the front forks when front brakes are applied. how to rectify both?!

its not going away., feels iritating with the soundOriginally posted by EthanReddington View PostCommon problem.. It automatically goes away.. But what do you mean by hard bite sound
. Hardbite sound is from the front shocks when brake is applied., sounds like shocks touching the bottom roughly.

Gixxer's fork setup is on the stiffer side for better handling points. Thud sound may be from worn out cone set,Originally posted by bike ryder View Postits not going away., feels iritating with the sound

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I tried to find out the issue causing vibes. Went to OMS at madipakkam, for all my ques they had only one ans "It's normal and U don't have to worry about". Damn! when it's not found in the other vehicles, how can they say it's normal.Originally posted by srinath2494 View PostHello,
You should have asked the question before shifting to the new oil. Now, you should only tell others.
You mean vibes? Well I can't say anything more than this. I exchanged my RTR 180 for gixxer. Enough said.
Please stick to stock oil and spares.
Cheers.
No. It is not and will not be.
Please stick to stock. The issue may be due to some other fault. Well your description is little exaggerated for this is a very smooth engine. Just saying. Use mild handle grips. The stock ones on RTR were the best. Handle grip won't reduce vibes.
Now for the best suggestion I can think of. Instead of adding handgrips buy a good pair of gloves. You will not even feel the buzz. Plus it's a good protection to you. You should start concentrating on your riding posture too. Correct it to free your arms and shoulders. I have a pair of local gloves for using in the city. They cut out even the smallest of buzzes. Also service your bike properly. Do not torture the engine by revving hard and fast every time. Go easy with it for smoother ownership experience.
Cheers.
That triggered me for an oil change.
Actually changed the oil after reading a lot of reviews in the forum [emoji2] (Was waiting for the mods to activate my account so that I can post). Normally I don't stress the engine, not at all. Oil is the only thing right now deviated from stock config.
I will just wait for the oil to break in. Ll let you know how it goes.
Thanks for your suggestion regarding gloves. Wil try it out. [emoji4]Last edited by Cartheknv; 01-24-2016, 09:51 AM.

They do. Got 3rd service done 5 days back. They do.Originally posted by EthanReddington View PostThey don't use Motul?
Let's not be assertive right away.Originally posted by benryu View PostNope. Apparently Suzuki has changed it.
which service centre in chennai is guiding you like that? Do not go there, try some where else before you can continue using this oil. They aren't clearing out stock. So many bikes in the service centre I go are filled with MOTUL only.Originally posted by benryu View PostMaybe clearing out stock. They are using motul almost everywhere as of now.Originally posted by EthanReddington View PostWhat!!!! But they're using Motul here!

The sound might mostly be because of brake pads being little tighter after cleaning and adjusting. Needs more time to rub against the disk and settle properly. It will go away as you ride more.Originally posted by bike ryder View PostGuys a whistle sound is heard from my disk brake while running slowly., eventhough the svc guys cleaned the brakes., still the sound comes. The hard bite sound might not be coming from forks. Did you experience a hard feel on your front brake lever? If so, then fret not. It is again because of cleaner and tighter brake pads which need time to settle properly according to your style of braking. Until then, be gentle on the brake and don't hit it hard. It could result in front wheel lock and maybe a stoppie or a skid :P
