Absolutely no idea what that is. Will have to do some reading. But if I am guessing it right its a chain that controls the camshaft? And the tensioner must be keeping proper tension on that chain

Visibility improved a lot compared to Stock bulb.

Can the bulb be replaced by following the steps in Owner Manual? Or should be done with mechanic? Thanks

you can visit SVC. they will make it right. no extra thing needed. However, if bike has travelled around 25-30k then new ball bearings with lube may be needed.

Probably i have done the most number of experiments with headlights. I have used HID, HID with projector, LED with projector, 55/60 watt halogen, 55/60 watt philips xtreme vision plus. Recently i bought a LED headlight from aliexpress which I am currently using.

Changing from stock lamp to other halogens/LED lights with H4 socket is simple. You can do it yourself in 10 min. Installing HID only is little bit more tricky however it can be done at home. Just follow the wiring instructions or check any youtube video. However, installing a projector needs hot air gun and one needs to remove the front glass which covers the reflector. Its better to get it installed at mechanic's.

I will write a brief review of all these lights as well (though i have mentioned them in some of my earlier posts)

HID/HID with projector: These are the best lights one can get. Excellent visibility. But since they are not legal, i removed them. (but only after driving more than 15k KM or more). I was stopped by police a couple of times but was never fined. Do check philips HID bi xenon. In local HID dipper wont work but in these philips lights they work.

Local LED: Very poor light..bought in Rs. 300, replaced after first drive.

Philips xtreme vision plus: One of the best headlight lamp after HID. Excellent throw. Very good for night driving. One can easily drive upto 70-80kmph. However if a truck or new age scorpio with projector lamp is coming then you go blind. (This has also to do with absence of driving manners in drivers. On highways, most of them wont use dipper. It becomes difficult to drive. HID excels at this place. Drivers will automatically use dipper if your bike has HID . However, you wont be able to reciprocate because of the design of HID lights. )
Osram has released a new bulb nighbreaker unlimited laser. It has good reviews. You can check these also.

LED from Aliexpress: These lights are nice. I will say better than xtreme vision plus. However there is one catch. I found that in my bike, the light is not very focused. Whole area in front of the bike gets illuminated. But for fast driving at night you need focused lights. It may be because of the reflector of gixxer or any other cause i dont know. This issue limits the speed particularly on black top roads. If you are driving off road/on PCC roads you will get excellent illumination. Currently I am using this but I am thinking of going back to philips xtreme vision plus. Below I have posted the link of this headlight. Do consider it once if you want white light.

Thanks for the detailed info. LED lights need closer reflection glass to increase intensity. Hence not suitable for Gixxer. You can notice how small the reflection area will be in case of led lights seen in Dominar 400, Duke 390(2017), FZ 25 etc

Today i just saw the rubber pipe containing the wires running down from the handle to battery is torn and the wires are visible. Is it possible to replace the rubber pipe with a newer one ?

Go to your local SVC and ask them. Replacement cable sleeves should be available in the spareparts department
