This may also sound silly. But have trust and read the Manual.

Don't ride at steady rpm, keep varying between 3 to 4.5k. You may give and occasional short burst. "Feel" the rpm and engine stress as you ride. Gradually increase the speed, avoid sudden pick up, overtaking etc.

My Bike also seems to be leaking oil form engine's left side , I feel its very common problem with the gixxer .I wonder if i can get it rectified from out side the ASS ,is the gasket bike specific ? as i don't have any trust over the SVC guys.

        Leakage occurs when

        1.you dont tighten bolts evenly
2.Surface is not clean ( mating surface of gasket)
        3. Over oil filling.

Inverse of the above are the solutions too.

          Hi Gixxer bros,

I am looking to change my rear tyre. What are the options other than the stock MRF one?
I am not happy with the stock MRF rubbers as the sidewalls have developed a lot of cracks. There is still life left in the tyre, but for the sidewall cracks.

          Your help is much appreciated.

Can you post the pics? Because i doubt its an oil leak. Sometimes, after you lube the chain, the lubricant starts to come off the chain and looks like an oil leak.

Rightly said, atleast on my CBR I followed this method where for the first 500km I rode between 3000-4000 rpm and 2nd 500 at 4000-5000 rpm range for shifts, you can go for the occasional bursts upto 6000-7000rpm max but don't stay at that point, let the bike decelerate by itself. Engine should season well and yes keep shifting at different Rpms, if u stick to one rpm level, bike will get used to that, all 6 gears need to be exposed to the various rpms during run in but within the limit of the run in limit.

hello buddy...not to worry ..just go to service station and u have to change your ENGINE COIL...cost around 2500/- if not in warranty period otherwise u dont have to pay..and dont forget to talk about warranty period or service updates...

Feel the RPM and engine stress, as in riding with torque. so giving little stress is OK?

Far as issues engine oil leaking and being visible on d engine is concerned....the main issue is that this bike needs only 850ml of oil...but when u go for an oil chnge they get a 1l bottle nd merrily fill entire 1l up...the excess oil then spills over and evn damages the oil seals causing leakage...
Pls note the markers on the engine oil window and ensure the highest limit is not exceeded...
                          Hope this helps...

You sure only 850ml is required? What does the manual say?

Can I use this engine oil? It costs surprisingly just 299.
