Yup it says keep RPM to less than 4500 for the first 800kms and less than 7000RPM for the first 1600 kms.

as far as breakin goes, i am only riding bike in city traffic. so max i have reached 50kmph at 3krpm in 5th gear.
Thanks for your inputs. I am going to the showroom today to get some billing and Tax certificate blunders sorted. Will ask them for their comments on post-HEAVY rain care/maintenance.

We have a RPM light indicator (the White light) which can be set to blink at a preset RPM. I am planning to set it to 4000 RPM. Let's see how it goes.

I think since it is DC ,, so it would be plug n play,,, but will wait 4 your experience, yestersay a glimpse of Black Gixxer , and it just was raining hard but its headlight was looking strong,, what your take on this ,,and I think changing stock one to higher watt may void warranty
Better not to tinker around till Warranty period. Then go all out. This is my plan

i suggest to leave the RPM indicator to default setting which i think is 4500. after first service they will only set it to 7000. moreover its only an indicator and not actually 'rev lock' (as in duke).

i just spoke to my friend. after rain etc. in any case, if you feel the chain is dry or muddy, then just oil it. may be with spray. infact whether dry/muddy or not, oiling the chain once in a week is a good practice.

Is FZ has aslo non-o ring chain type?
And yes in Run In ,, I think below 40 would be too low ,,,keep yourself upto 60 max and rpm also in limit

EDIT: @sshiremath2000 , I think in the wait of 35mm prime time ,, someone else would steal the show

                Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155

Did 100 kms today on the bike on National Highways, State Highways & City roads.... Had to commute from my village to Suzuki dealer in the city to get paper work done, extended warranty & IND number plate..... Some observations which i found during my ride....

-> Feels punchy, took it to max of 5,500 RPM... It was 79Kmph on the speedo in 5th gear... Couldn't resist to keep it @ 4500 RPM as recommended by Suzuki in the Manual... It was a gradual increase in speed & not sudden acceleration, which is think is fair....
-> Bike is @ ease when doing 80 Kmph in 5th Gear... This wasn't the case when i took test ride of Yamaha FZ-S FI, where i felt the engine feels stressed @ 80Kmph..
-> Stock suspension is good... Though reasonably stiff, it doesn't hurt your spine.... Deliberately put it in small & medium pot holes....
-> Braking is good...Though not razor sharp.. I feel this is good... Once you get used to this kind of braking, you know how much time your bike will take to halt...
-> Ergonomics is superb.... Never felt any discomfort after i finished 100 Kms ride....
-> The bike can pull comfortably @ 25Kmph on the speedo in 5th Gear.... Anything less, it will start to snatch...
-> Headlight spread is good... Low beam & high beam needs to be adjusted.... Need to lower the low beam.. Need to read the manual to check for any adjustment's...
-> The bike feels much powerful....Flicking from side to side is just fantastic....
-> Plenty of questions, admiration in traffic signals... If ppl can overlook FZ & say this is beautiful, then defenetly Suzuki needs to be applauded for this effort...
-> But in my opinion, it looks better than FZ.. Especially the creases on the tank, the lovely silencer & the view from the rear make it so much adorable... Am loving it..
-> Paid Rs 660/- as Extended warranty for 3 years.. So totally the bike is covered for 5 yrs from now.....
-> Paid Rs 690/- for IND number plate...

If you have any questions, most welcome....Will try to evaluate based on my understanding & provide feedback.....

The funniest part was that the dealer doesn't have ordinary plates...Did you ppl get both numbers plates as part of vehicle or did the dealer charge you extra ?

The gixxer looks much better than fz 2.0 version. This is the first 150cc bike which stole my heart by its looks and performance

What about vibrations & engine refinement?

                          Same views here.... Good question...

Didn't notice any vibrations so far... I had pushed it to 5,500 RPM Max so far.... No false neutrals, gear shifts sooper smooth (Better than Karizma R)

You can easily shift gears @ higher RPM & the bike feels very comfortable here....

Yes.. i do have the saree gaurd on the bike... I think a footplate only will be a very good add-on for this bike.. a Full saree guard with footplate might destroy the looks.....

The Clips are there on the head unit for number plate... Since the head unit & the number plate were backs, may be it was not evident in the photo.... All Gixxer's have number plate Clip... Did you get your number plate as part of the bike (or) did you buy it as accessory ?

Oops sorry buddy.. My mistake... I overlooked that you are yet to buy the bike... Anyways congrats in advance for your new bike....

I have had HH splendor, Yamaha RX 135, Bullet Machismo, HH Karizma all of them in black (Almost 14 years all these have been black)... This time decided to try for a different colour.. Hence Red... Yes Red looks very good & easily the best of the aval colours..... My first choice was for Red & second choice was white....

Sure will upload more pics tomorrow.....
