Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
So only solution is disc replacement?Originally posted by kannanmr16 View PostThe problem with Gixxer is that the front disk is thin. Even a small stone hit can cause a slight bend in it. Just put it on center stand and rotate the front wheel. If it doesn't roll freely at a particular point then u have a disk bend.
I had to change the disk due to this issue. And also it's not covered under warranty....but still you can try talking to them about it.
Disk replacement will cost 1.7k almost.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I'm also facing this. Without headlight my idle rpm is around 1250, if headlight is turned on it is around 1000rpm. I think everyone is facing this.Originally posted by Partha Luna Gogoi View PostI notice a small decrease in engine rpm when i turn on the head lamp from the beginning. is it normal or only i am facing it?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hey there.
I'm Anant from Ajmer. A proud owner of a blue gixxer.
I've clocked around 1600 kms on it. And I'm loving every moment spent with it. Have gone through every page of this ownership thread.
I've a few doubts regarding the bike :
1. Scratches on tank : There are a few scratches on the tank. I haven't been in any collision so far. This is my first bike so I'm a bit skeptical about it. Is there any coating or wax which would prevent scratches? I'm attaching a pic of the tank below.
2. Handlebar : after seeing some pics on the internet and here, my head is playing tricks with me that my Handlebar is a bit "Bent" and it should be more "flat". Fz's Handlebar is flatter than our bikes, right? Or is it the same? I brought this issue with the svc too, during the first service. But they said that it's fine. I'm attaching a pic of the Handlebar too. Senior xbhpians and gixxerians, kindly give it a look and tell if it's fine or not.
3. Engine oil : The guys at the svc have used idemitsu 10w40 engine oil. By looking at the price, I assume that it's semi synthetic. I ruled out the idea of using fully synthetic engine oil (Motul 7100 10w40) during the second service because it might not be wise to use fully synthetic engine oil this early. So the question is, should I stick with the stock idemitsu oil during the second service (which I'm thinking to get it done by around 2200 kms)or should I get shell ax7 10w40 and get it changed by a local mechanic?
4. This is not a question but a piece of advice for the fellow gixxer owners. One fine day, when my friend who was sitting as a pillion was getting off the bike. While doing so, his leg collided with the rear right indicator. And guess what? It broke. It was working though. Had to use fevikwik to get it in its place. And then a couple of days later, it happened again, this time, with another friend. So, it's better to warn your pillion to be a bit careful while getting off the bike.
Regards,
Anant.
