Hey buddy thanks again: D, I'll release as much info as I can without letting secrets out and I can tell you the stock powertronic maps and they're results, but I will be keeping the figures of my custom remap under wraps, I feel it would restrict the trolls from having a field day

hey vikram..my experience with regards to your questions are as follows..
          1. B2B traffic i get between 22-24kmpl..on highways..cruising at 100 on 6th gear i get around 38..and around 65 on 5th gear i even got 42..these are all pre 2nd service figures since i've only covered 2.2k kms till now

          2. the stance just takes a bit of time to get used to..just did 320kms in a day a few days back..no problem at all! can easily do 500..the wrist pains and everything else gets sorted out after you get familiar with the stance and the correct posture for such supersport designs

3.spare parts costs are very cheap as they are locally sourced and are easily available

hope my answers helped you out!

              To answer you question.

A} tank is 9.5, if ridden sanely you can easy stretch upto 250kms

              B] about 9000-10000 kms

C] first service 1000kms, next 7500 kms there after every 7500 kms

                Hi Guys,

Silent stalker of this thread for ages... :P Have been following the RC390 since its launch days.
kudos to you guys... you are enjoying your monster to the fullest!
I'm super keen on gifting one to myself

I'd like to ask, are the vibrations/Heat too much to live with in the city? I'd be using it mainly for City and occasional weekend tours.
Youtube vids constantly complain about excessive vibrations on the footpegs+handlebars. Is it for a particular rev range or all through out?

                Thanks in advance..

                  Hey

Heat is not as bad as the Duke 390 and because it is a high compression single cylinder it will vibrate but you will adapt to it

If you're going to use it mainly for City I'd recommend otherwise. RC is a pain in City. No matter how much you get accustomed to the posture, in bumper-to-bumper traffic it's very difficult to support your torso with your back or thigh muscles. Your wrists will pain!
Having said that, I have to mention tha the highway rides are super fun. Even if you have little but continuos motion the wrists won't take as much a toll. It's only in stop-go traffic that I find the RC really cubersome.
Have clocked ~6k kms on mine.
One more thing many people don't mention is the suspension setup.
If you are to truely enjoy the RC you have to set the Mono to a very stiff setting. Anything lower than that and it will wobble like hell on even slightly undulated corners. Trust me its scary!
Stiff suspension for everyday use is definitely a pain.
I have made up my mind and hence I never crib about it. No gain without pain
                    Enjoy

                      Yes. Agreed
I just changed my mono suspension from 3 to 5, and now i can tell the difference.
I haven't hit bottom on any speed breaker which I was earlier used to hit frequently.

Even in stop and go traffic you can travel 4-5 kms without much problem. I travel everyday evening in such traffic where I cant go beyond 30-40kmph

That is, heat is manageable right? Has anyone upgraded the radiator/fan parts of the RC for better cooling? Just curious...

It is the perfect bike even considering all the flaws, I commute nearly 60ks a day and I ride on track, the bike perfect for everything, and this is really not as dedicated as most say, its as new bikes come out you must adapt to the new bikes not keep saying that old is gold.

The RC 390 although not upright, or soft suspension is the most fun motorcycle that will make you a better rider.

It will be tough to keep 2 rides with me, one for the city and another for weekends.... I hope RC will be just bearable in b2b traffic and the summer heat!

                            cheers mate!

It is bearable, just don't ever turn it off in the middle of traffic leave it on.

It's kinda sad that both Yamaha n Honda are holding out on the R3 & CBR 300R respectively.
It would be nice to have some options to choose from (Not that I'd choose anything other than the RC )
