You will realize the power of the Metz only when you get into a tricky situation. It has saved me many times. Slow and high speed panic braking with the Metz and ABS saved me many times. AT 5500kms my tires are worn out almost 60% I think and it is gone mostly in the center as I do not do much or conering or taking it to the track. I initially thought of going in for other tires when the Metz wears out, but changed my mind. I will be going in for the 160/60-R17 Metz later. I think my tires would be good for another 3-4k kms

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Hi Guys.
I rode the RC200 last week for around 10kms and found the bike very UNDER-POWERED. Maybe because I wack my 390 all the time and kind of used to the 390 power. I found the 200 making more noise rather than moving. The 200 had completed 6000kms and I asked my cousin if the bike still feels the same way when it was new and he very proudly says it still runs like brand new. Huh, I wonder how the Duke 200 performs. Yet I cant understand how the Duke 200 guys beat me in traffic. The RC seemed to take ages for the speedo to move...

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
This is a complete OT, but I still want to highlight it. The road is no place to race. You only get beat when you are in competition and thinking you are competing with anyone on the road is not wise. At least not for everyone else. Please ride safe. If it's difficult to control emotions when someone passes by, avoid using your own transport and wait till you gain that control before taking your ride out.Originally posted by Liveforpower View PostHi Guys.

Do not mind, it is just for safety. I will gladly delete my post if you felt it even slightly offending.
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

I don't understand what you mean by "This is a complete OT". If you meant Off Topic, then well we are talking about the RC390 and I think comparing it with other bike's performance is On Topic.Originally posted by R-series View PostThis is a complete OT, but I still want to highlight it. "The road is no place to race" The RC390 is a track focused machine but NOT a full fledged Track motorcycle limited to the track. Now since we Indians have been give the opportunity for the first time in India at this price point to own a machine that actually performs pretty well, I think it absolutely fine for me to go full throttle when the opportunity allows on public roads. So when I see a 200cc machine outperform me when traffic sets in I get frustrated, hence I have posted my experience here.
Since this is a RC390 thread and most of us here have bought the RC390 because we love the styling and performance figures, I was expecting a reply which would be talking more about comparing the motorcycles rather than advising me to ride safely.
You hardly get to see a litre class or even a 600cc motorcycle here in Coimbatore. So when I am out on the road I feel like King and definitely like to show-off my power and race other guys who try to attempt.
Guys, I personally feel we should not be advising each other here on how to ride unless one asks for advice or suggestions on how to ride.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Did people forget that xbhp allows save riding and promotes it in the forums too, be it ownership thread or any other thread. And just by asking people to be safe and keep others safe on the public roads, people get offended. Wow!!!Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Guys don't fight and yes road is not a place to race or anything do it on track. And comparing bikes is little weird because some people like Harley's some people like full on Ducati's doesn't mean one is better than other just different people different choices. Just respect everyone in biking community even is he driving very small bike also. Don't feel offended if someone is talking about safety then it's for your safety only.

Here on xBhp we promote safe riding and respecting the rules of the road. If you have a problem with that you are free to leave the forum.
We do not tolerate rash, negligent riding and flaunting that stupidity on the forum is even worse.
As stated above if you want to showoff your heroics, please feel free to leave, if you want to stay then please learn to respect the law and fellow bikers on the forum as well.
I sincerely hope that you will choose the latter for your own good.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Ok. Guys. I see that everyone seems to be on a serious note here. Sorry if I upset anyone. I was just expecting a lighter reply instead of you'll pouncing on me regarding safety. I was NOT advising anyone here to ride rashly nor did I use abusive language on the forum. I was just sharing my experience and expected replies on that context.
Happy Biking.
Bye!!!

KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
A biker should respect another biker and should not get offended when another biker give advise. A person who feels that he knows too much or feels that he is better than other hates others advise. Racing on road road is a way to prove that he is better than others. Save it for the day when you really need to race.Last edited by ammaity; 06-13-2015, 02:06 PM.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
It's got nothing to do with the bike and everything to do with the rider. If you can't "beat" the 200 with a 390 what does that say about your riding skills? Oh and BTW traffic light "races" is not even a measure of skill, anybody with some riding experience can whack open the throttle and go. Riding well is an advanced skill.Originally posted by Liveforpower View PostHi Guys.
