I went to ASC and they didnt do anything about it, so i planned to take matter into my own hands and do something about it. can u explain what and where these rubber mounts are place so i can do some JUGAD and fix it.

DoT stands for dept of transportation - it's American.

            hey guys
Planning to buy RC 390, many people have warned me against it because of the build quality,
is the bad built quality managable on the long run
any suggestions on this issue by RC owners would really help me.

I have had no issues with the build quality except a few plastic parts. Overall the bike is great

The quality looks quite good to me. Have seen some pretty old Dukes too with not major issues.

Go ahead and buy it! The quality is just fine..just maintain it properly and there wont be any issues as with any other bike..the vibrations might seem weird for a small time but it will go away real soon as you get used to it..and every time you twist the throttle, you're bound to have a huge grin on your face! oh and the bike will steal the show everywhere you take it! lol

Today a rider having Suzuki Hayabusa crossed me .. and guess .. even he was looking surprisingly for which bike is this.
DRLs of RC390 will impress everyone who is passing by you from opposite side.

[QUOTE=Liveforpower;1148656]Guys after removing the filter...I started the bike with the air filter box opened and my god... The intake noise is one to die for... I would say it sounded better that a 1000cc bike.... The noise is just exactly what I was looking for... It has a deep LOUD growl...just out of the world... Now I am waiting to get my hands on a K&N filter and get rid of the box set-up... Try it out guys... you would go crazy with the noise.

Hey bro if you get your hands on K&N filter please do make a video of it..

                          [QUOTE=mohdatif1;1148855]Hey Guys,

Got back from my first service, which seems like ages as i was restricting my throttle hand to go all the way. But now it goes like lightning.

The only issue i face is the annoying sound from the rattling of the battery cover. Any DIYs or suggestions to reduce this annoying sound.

Planning to go on a 700 km long drive from Hyderabad to Mumbai. preparing the bike and myself (mentally) for such a long journey. will keep you posted on this.

I would suggest you to use 3M double tape.. It helped me.

So my RC390 is about 3 months old and I have covered about 4000km. I have maintained my bike quite well but then there are some niggles.

The battery cover on mine isn't the one causing vibrations but the white fairing on the left. When I took it to the Service center, he asked me to leave it there for a day because he had to open the fairing on both sides and check where the problem is! And apparently this has been an issue for many.

The second thing I noticed is the copper pipe connecting the engine exhaust and the catalytic converter has now become bluish. Not sure if this is normal. So can someone clarify this for me?
                            Thanks!

That the connector it changes colour due to heat which won't cause any problem buddy.
