completed 770 KMs, did 150km in 2.5 hrs recently.
will go for first servicing on weekend.

left side fairing started vibrating recently.
there is visible oil leak from engine. Not changed engine oil yet.

else everything is fine. Its fun to ride the RC.
throttle bleeping is just so good and fun with rc that I am trying the same when I ride Honda Dream yuga everyday.

Any specific things to look for during first servicing??

        Hi Guys.
Has anybody tried changing their horn? The OE horn is loud but since it is single, it kind of sounds lousy. I cant find a place to fit aftermarket horns

        Hi,
        The way I did it was;
        1) You first need to remove both side panels. ( 5 bolts each side )
        2) Remove the two small screws on the tank just below the battery cover.
        3) Remove the seat and pull the battery cover lever and remove the battery cover.
        3) Remove the petrol tank lid. All the allen key bolts. I think there are 6-8 bolts.
        4) Near the rider seat end of the petrol tank, you would find two bolts, remove that.
        5) Now you have another two bolts which screw onto the air filter cover, remove that.
        6) Lift up the tank and then lift the air filter cover and remove the air filter.

Note: If you are familiar with DIY jobs, then it is a 15 minute job to remove. If not, you might break something.
Note: While removing the side panels, the radiator plastic shield had plastic buttons which also fits into the panels. Be careful while removing these.

It is not difficult, just play around and you will know what to do. Just handle with care.

Maybe the showroom guys have a shortcut to do it, but I don't see any other way.

            Hello Guys.
I need all of youll's help in making one of the biggest decisions of my life. Its been around 4 months now since I have the RC390 and love every bit of it. But I feel it is not enough. Since childhood I have always been a fan of high speed and during college days I had a Shogun which I modified to the core from KRP Delhi. I also had a RD350 but was in the workshop more than on the road. Later I got settled down in life and got married and you know all the same old married life stuff. I had lost interest in biking for a few years. Now after buying the RC390, I am back like a maniac on the road.
The RC is OK but what I need is the bike should scream past 100kmph in first gear. I have decided to go in for a Superbike maybe in 3 months time say by September. I have been researching and studying since 2 months now but just come to a decision as to what to buy. My dream bike would be a BMW S1000RR but ha...that would probably remain a dream for now.
I have a budget of around 10L so used is the only option. I have been considering the Hayabusa, ZX10R, CBR1000RR, R1. It has to definitely be an inline four cause I love the exhaust note on them. I could probably get a Pre-2011 Hayabusa for around 10L, My fear is these older bikes don't have ABS, How would it be riding such a powerful machine without ABS now that I know what a life saver ABS is on the RC. I am not looking at the Z800 as I don't like the looks.

IF you'll have some knowledge on this topic could you'll please help me out here. BTW I was planning on buying a nice car but thought what the hell, I can drive a car or build a house even when I am 60. My wife is also a big time bike lover and spoils me in this aspect.

Spending this kind of money on a Motorcycle will either make me happy on top of the world if I make the right choice or else I am doomed as I am not born rich to care less.

Dear Moderator: I don't know if this the right place for this query but thought since there are a lot of speed loving people here, would post here.

Thanks everybody! Looking forward to your advice.

I had these on my 200, they will make your clutch harder, and in some cases break the strands of cable, eventually leading to total breakage.

Brother go for Triumph Daytona 675R. The beauty of an inline 3 is you get the best of both worlds and you get the torque in every range. Generally the torque in a 4 cylinder is after 7-8k rpm and till 7-8k rpm the power is almost unuseable. Its light too and so the power to weight ratio is almost equal to a Litre bike. And the sound is to die for even with the stock exhaust. You will someday thank me if you choose this bike trust me. You get everything from power to looks to top notch build quality.
