Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
That svc had a reputation when Rehman was there. He was an excellent mechanic and the svc grew on his reputation. He is no longer there, has joined Harley.Originally posted by vernon24 View PostThey good ???
The present bunch are mostly inept guys, though there is one mech who learned his craft under Rehman's tutelage who is half decent.
These guys would do their best to shoo you away either asking you to come later or tell you everything is fine. The service advisor is not a mech, so even though he may talk bike stuff, bvut has no knowledge of the internals. He'd do his best to show his disinterest and lack of urgency when talking. May be not the first time you go there, but definitely over time
. I was one of the first customers to visit there svc, clearly remember the day, I rode to that place for a minor niggle on my 200 and saw them loafing around(there weren't too many KTMs around then) and see the contrast now. I remember one recent instance when I was called at 9:00am and showed up at right time, but it was two hours before someone attended to me.May be familiarity breeds contempt or may be I don't ride a Ninja
.
The facilities are decent though , but I'd suggest avoid it for serious stuff and head to the Ghatkopar svc. These guys may appear to be a bit greasy but the svc advisor Pravin is nice guy and will at least listen to your worriesThe hero always RIDES into the sunset!

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Im thinking if buying the rjays cover, it fits my friends ninja 300 perfectly, should fit the rc too.Originally posted by nilesh9777 View PostA good cover for RC390 ?? silver/black?? where to get that?
(Dont want Orange colored cover from KTM as it grabs lot of attention in parking)
Do revert if you find any other option.
Cool man, congrats. Though i missed this godown selection, but one thing i noticed at the service centre where other rc's were brought in for pdi was the consistent quality.Originally posted by Shantnu View PostYayyy my bike arrived at the godown today

It'd have been so helpful if you could have posted some snaps of the clutch casing side of the bike, the rumors are ripe that the slipper clutch are about to be installed on the 2015 models, it'd be great if you can post some day light, good resolution photos of every angle possible, especially the clutch, the left, the front radiator, back side of the radiator where the fan is (tight space in there) but if you can that'd be great too. As for everything wishing you miles of happy smiles.
Failing to post the photos, I am gonna find you and splash your brains.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

And hahahahaabah ....ill post enuf high res pics of all angles in 2-3 days once i get my hands on the bike. However slipper clutch is not there in these bikes (99%) ... All the changes have happened in the duke (handle grips, rear shocker casing, extended mudguard fenders etc) not the RC ....its basically the 2014 bike still as far as i think....will post pics. ..
The slipper clutch might come after march as many are speculating....

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
You're right, Duke series are getting revamped every month, commendable job by folks at KTM. But it'd be great to get inputs from folks who have the 2015 machines on their hand, aids in more prospective buyers' decision making process.Originally posted by Shantnu View PostThanks!/
