When the wheel locks and skidds, the bike automatically stallsOriginally posted by Stani Emerson John View PostI thought slipper clutch was to prevent wheel locking and skidding on lowering gears aggressively.

KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Though i cant ascertain the length of hugger, but my rc has the black layer on indicators, and that fork boot(these additions are coming on dukes from a long time). So no point in crying for all January lot rc owners.
These things keep on coming, and most of times you can fit it. I have been through this exact phase when i got my first lot duke and everything new was being introduced.
Though slipper clutch will be missed, but then I'm happy to get a bike which is thoroughly tested in all terrains. Not sure the slipper clutch would have gone through similar testing.
One more thing i have seen is, later lots of ktms become more and more( for the lack of better word) boring. So be happy with what you have. 200 owners, remember 43 teeth to 42 teeth, and the awful remap which took away that maniac nature in low rpms.
And one more thing, blipping is fun😈

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
The pic you posted doesnt have that protector which I posted. Its present only on the latest model. Look on each side of the fork pics that I posted. You might have got it wrong.Originally posted by ynike99 View PostThough i cant ascertain the length of hugger, but my rc has the black layer on indicators, and that fork boot(these additions are coming on dukes from a long time).Ride, ride and ride.. Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
@Ivin, the blackened indicators, improved grips, switchgear, have been installed on almost the first lot of RCs, when they were launched. It's good to see them being implemented on the naked series, from what I reckon you're quoting, which would do good without those god awful handlebar grips from the Pulsar series -- and the switchgear. Quality is key.
Secondly, appreciate you posting the snap of the slipper clutch hub, but what I am wanting to see is, are there any differences in the clutch casing? Has the casing in anyway changed, i.e. bulged outward or the same? And these things would help us aid in getting a clearer idea of the things that are going on. And that's a nice little plasticky addition to the front forks.
Keep us posted on some pics of these corrections installed RC bike, one bike would suffice for most, provided, it's the right info! Keep it coming.
Cheers!

The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Talking about switch-gear, the right side switch-gears are completely new(I think changes are internal and not visual) and I have marked the new addition to the forks as well as posting the pic of the clutch case(I cant find any difference) and the section from Service book which I just got. First is the clutch pic before the changes and second is the slipper clutch as I have posted earlier.. Phew !! Hope this helps for new riders.
