Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
My RC390 clocked 4200 km's in 8 months , i am damm happy with the amount of power and accleration .
A bit thing which lets me down is the sound . Does it can be improved with K&N Air Filter and does installing it voids warranty ?
Is their any other solution for the sound or increasing bass as installing exhaust costing a bomb .

Air filter isn't gonna do anything. If you want to change the exhaust note you'll have to install an exhaustOriginally posted by BennyBoy View PostMy RC390 clocked 4200 km's in 8 months , i am damm happy with the amount of power and accleration .

K&N air filter will give a distinct sound but not that good..Originally posted by BennyBoy View PostMy RC390 clocked 4200 km's in 8 months , i am damm happy with the amount of power and accleration .

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
I am facing he same problem.. n no solution till now.. ..apply the front brake and the sound disappear and it comes back again...Originally posted by Newbie101 View Post1 to this, even mine was set for 7500km !Anyone facing issues with the front disc pads making a squeaky noise ? It's really annoying and just ruins the fun for me. I have cleaned the disc pads, even took it to the service centre and used their pressure cleaner. It is works without any sound for maybe 10 mins of riding, and then it's back to being squeaky. The folks at KTM blames it on dust accumulation ( which I know is a huge factor) but this is a bit ridiculous.

Chain lubing and cleaning is mentioned seperately.Originally posted by SpeedyKol View PostI think labour charge means for cleaning chain, which is not free. Tightening and adjusting chain is for free, including washing and polishing.Never ride faster than your guardian angel can fly.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Guys, A buddy and me, plan to do leh ladakh from Blore sometime in june-july 2016. Both will be on Rc390's.
Ive heard few guys from Blore have got Leh'd on the RC. Just wanted to know if anybody can suggest people to approach regarding the petrol can carrying brackets.
I prefer to borrow/rent out the extra frames and would prefer not fabricating. Since this may be a once in a lifetime thing, dont want to kinda waste money on a frame that will have no use after the big trip :P
Thanks in advance

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
So you are saying that the sound is made only when the brakes aren't applied? That should not be happening. That means that the brake pads are mis-aligned and they are scrubbing the rotors.Originally posted by sheru5 View PostI am facing he same problem.. n no solution till now.. ..apply the front brake and the sound disappear and it comes back again...
