Let me tell you if you ask which bike is there under 4 lakh which offer safety (ABS), immense power, grip on wet surface, lot of service centers, pocket friendly spare part cost the answer is KTM.

Onreward you will get a big smile every time you ride her.

PS: I travel 70% highway and 30% city in mild traffic.
Thanks for the feedback. I was initially thinking of a good deal for the ZX10R,but logically thinking it will be an over expensive showpiece most of the time. God knows how much it would be ridden. I am very used to the touring position of the Fazer, but my friend is leaving for Bangalore and will be giving me his R15 for a few months. Hoping to get acquainted with the sporty position. Are the bent rims a thing of the past?
The fazer is a proper 2 hours job to clean after a muddy ride. How good is the RC? I do maintain my vehicles immaculately. Here is the present condition of my ride.

I wash my RC twice every week, most of the time its muddy and sometimes its not, but cleaning takes 30-45 minutes for me excluding the tyres.

        Maintained quite well congrats.

Personally I am over the surprising pathholes @ 90kmph+
Shocking for both rider and pillion, but no issues with rims.

        Cleaning takes 30-40 minutes.
I always keep her under covering to avoid unwanted attention and dust protection.

Don't wash your bike everyday until absolutely warranted for. The parts will rust and it will shorten the lifespan of your bike. Maybe wash once in 2 weeks. Thats enough.

                          engine oil
                          Coolant
Clutch and accelerator cables (for any fraying or other damage) check near the steering stem (where the frame number is printed) the cable housing tends to wear out due to rubbing and also at the cable ends for any fraying.
spare fuses (ensure the spares in the fuse box are present and in good condition)
tires - please wash the tires and get them checked visually and also with some soapy water to spot any embedded objects/punctures.
if possible carry a set of levers (at least clutch, gear shift lever and maybe front brake lever). the levers will be the first to bend or break off if the bike falls over. the pulsar ug4's clutch lever should be a direct fit.
a tubeless puncture kit (around 50rs) and an inflator (resqtech - personal favorite, you can buy it on amazon) is also highly recommended.

add the foot brake lever & the gear levers too since they break more frequently than the handle clutch & brake levers in case of a fall.. I've seen that in tracks the foot levers break instantly.. the hand levers last a few falls..

keep an eye on the air pressure of the tyres and battery and check whether all the bulbs/lights and indicators are working.. use the check list from my signature for a general overall check up..

since the spares are cheap, I would prefer to have new set of filters (air, oil, fuel) and spark plug..

                              Completed first service yesterday
the bike feels more linear now
took about 40-50 minutes of servicing and the cost to ₹1762
now to open this baby up and see how fast it can go

A few kilometers before Lachen..This was taken while we were returning to gangtok..it hadn't rained so the water level had subsided a bit unlike the time when we were heading towards Lachen..rainfall on the previous night had caused the water level to surge a lot..don't have that picture because unfortunately we crossed this waterfall at 9:30pm
