Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
The Electronic City KTM showroom in BLR has not confirmed anything yet. They are yet to receive an official communication on 2016 KTM RC 390 updates. It's better to wait till Auto Expo 2016 which will be held in 1st week of Feb. I am assuming this wouldn't be available before March end. *Fingers Crossed*Originally posted by snehith View Postany news on 2016 rc390? when is it going to be launched?2003 - 2009 : Pulsar 150 Classic (Sold)

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
the '23' was marketed towards two and three wheelers while the G and D (g-petrol and d-diesel additive) towards car and heavier vehiclesOriginally posted by SpeedyKol View PostSystem 23 is same as System G. It is manufactured by Iftex. Is it safe for FI? A good difference can be felt after mixing it with petrol.
i have never seen the 23 on the shelves, but the G and D yes. But unfortunately at least in Hyderabad the supply seems to have dried up and it has been impossible to find one here. theironhorse99 was kind enough to donate a bottle from his stash to me
i have been using the G and it does seem to make a difference..and no negative effects thus far in the 14k km that i have used it. And i use it every other tankful.
recently used the adon p because i ran out of the last bottle of system g. and the adon p i felt was much better (i was able to hold higher revs around the 2,3,4th gears comfortably before shifting up)
i will be using adon p for the next 1000km before i decide on which i feel is really better.

Using since 7k kms, no issues and performance is better than iftex. Try adon after a tank of iftex, u will feel the difference.Originally posted by s1d View Post.

Has anyone wrapped windshield with matte white stickers?
Any place in pune where I can get this done?

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Did a 350 km round trip from Hyderabad to Nagarjunasagar dam on the RC with three short breaks. Road was pretty good (NH765) but still a tiring ride mainly because of traffic getting in and out of Hyderabad.
Anyway just a few observations I made:
Bike still has under 1000km
Bike rode perfectly
Normally am not fussed on electronics but let me tell you this ABS is definitely something worth having. Had to do an emergency stop on two occasions once at 20 km/hr and once from about 60 km/hr mainly due to idiot drivers. Both occasions ABS kicked in and though I could feel the rear squirming the wheels didn't lock up and I stopped safety
Suspension is fairly good for touring and on the very few bad pathces of road it was fairly comfortable
Seat is quite hard and my butt was quite sore but back and hands were fine and I am 46 lol
Avoid biggish speed breakers as the bottom will scrape
Average was 30 km/L riding about 70-80 km/hr and occasionally hitting 100 km/hr (I stuck to the Rev limit under 6000 revs)
Was wearing full biking gear including jacket, armoured trousers, knee high riding boots, gloves and helmet. It does get quite warm but on a longish ride I never wear less. Important to keep well hydrated to keep cool.
But the grin factor was amazing. Also had so many people including one policeman asking me about the bike everytime I stopped!! In balance can definitely be used for touring but plan the fuel stops, regular short breaks and if possible a softer seat.Last edited by Adilkadri123; 12-01-2015, 10:01 AM.Leh Ladakh Aug 2015

Congrats Man !! believe me, this hard seat is good for touring and you feel comfortable over time.
Make sure you set suspension to 5-6 levels and no more belly scraping then.
Regarding ABS, it has saved 5-7 times in 4K which you can say very scaring times.
I would not suggest anyone to buy powerful bike ( ninja 300, R3, banelli, mojo etc etc) without ABS.
What ABS can do, you will get to know only when you get into situation.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
It is indeed great to have ABS but it is equally important to break in those new tyres and the brakes. Remember to use both the brakes and develop good braking habits..you will see ABS intervention will reduce drastically. It is thus important not to take brand new bikes outside city limits. But cheers to you experienceCheerio!
Ride safe \m/
