Wakadewadi workshop is already closed.Originally posted by Amodraut View PostToo far from here.. Is wakdewadi workshop good?
For normal routine servicing all the centers are good enough. I found wagholi center good because they have lot of space and workshop is at silent place (helps servicing guys to focus on work [emoji1] )
And most important is that you can watch n just walk around your bike while it's getting serviced.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Glad to hear you have minimal damages and are safe!! Take care bro..Thanks for sharing your experience and advice.Originally posted by Venkat0412 View PostSo this happened to me on 12th march 2016.
I was returning back to home from Lavasa after my breakfast run and i was speeding around 60-65kmph (
) and in a corner a car from nowhere came in my lane like literally infront of me and I had no room to stay in my lane so to avoid head on collision i steered to right lane and lost control of my bike and ended up in gutter. Because of riding gears i was unscathed. Helmet ,boot and riding pant(leather) saved me big time. Sharing this because Please dont compromise on riding gears and don't speed on downhill.
Damages:
1. Scratches on both sides of the fairing.
2. Cracked rear view mirror (Head banged on the mirror)
3. Both rear and front brakes not working properly.
PS - No damages to Brake and Gear lever. can you believe it ??

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
1. Highly recommend Ride on Air product. Its bit costly but worth buyingOriginally posted by AngadV View PostGuys I had a question regarding some accessories I'd like to purchase:
1. Padded seat: Recently did 70kms in city(took 3.5 hours in traffic) and couldn't even move after that.
I remember on this thread a little while ago someone posted about this, but I'm not able to find it, so could anyone help me find one I could use? Is there any KTM power part for it? I did see one for the Duke, but not RC.
2. Phone mount: To put on the front of the bike, for a phone to be mounted, as otherwise I'd have to keep checking Maps by stopping the bike again and again. Looked online, but all I found was some cheap stuff on Ebay, and nothing in particular for the RC.
3. Handlebars: Not sure what its called, but its the padded stuff you can put on the handlebars, which would help reduce vibrations as well as make it more comfortable.
Could anyone help me find any of these? (Money isn't an issue as long as I'm paying for something which is reliable and of good quality, and not a cheap knockoff which will break easily)
Thanks!

3. No idea what you are talking about.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
I rev hard and very hard occasionally, power-wheelie every now & then.Originally posted by thrustrev View Post11350kms on the ODO and my Radiator Fan stopped working yet again.
The first time was when I had clocked around 5500kms. Got it replaced under warranty back then.
Now I have to go and get it replaced again! I read that the fans have been significantly improved in the newer Models.
Can somebody tell me what is the approximate month of manufacture I should be looking at?
Thank You!
I use my bike for 1km distance to 800km ride, Bumper to bumper traffic and what not.
Sometimes the fan is continuously on for long minutes.
But still no issue.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
So here's an update on something I tried about 4000Kms ago.
My RC 390 exhaust used to make a "phat phat" sound every time I decelerated. Searched the web for some solutions and common solution was to change the Fuel. Tried 3-4 different fuel pumps, found no difference. Switched to Shell V-Power, no difference. Tried Bharat Petroleum's Speed 97, much better but the sound was still there.
Searched again and found a site that suggested a 15 minute Idle with the bike kept perfectly straight, on a paddock stand. The idling has to be done for exactly 15 minutes. Can be a few seconds more but cannot cross the 16 second mark. This as someone suggested, is a way to put the ECU into learn mode. Fuel ratios, air intake are re-learnt by the ECU.
The sound lasted a few kms after this and just disappeared. The bike did feel quite a bit smoother. Clocked 4000kms after that and I plan on repeating this after clocking another 1000.
Can anyone shed some light on whether this has any side effects down the line?
Thank You.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
The phat phat sound you're talking about is the bike misfiring while deceleration. All newer 390s do it and is perfectly normal. Maybe the sound will disappear after a few months or so.. Or maybe not, but that is the way it is supposed to be.. Idk why you dislike it, I just love that sound![emoji14]Originally posted by thrustrev View PostSo here's an update on something I tried about 4000Kms ago.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Yes, the misfiring. It's not off the shelves completely, it's still present but maybe one or two pops. It used to be a lot more previously, like an RX 100 running on dirty fuel.Originally posted by Amodraut View PostThe phat phat sound you're talking about is the bike misfiring while deceleration. Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
So had my first accident on my bike yesterday
Was going to my coaching in the morning at 7:40am on a one way road and for the first time wasn't driving fast. There was this car in front of me and I horned and the car changed lanes to the left and this idiotic splendour guy on his phone just came in front of me from the wrong way. I quickly stopped my bike n changed my lane but that guy was on his phone and paknicked and lock his wheels and the bike feel and came ramming my bike from the front. My bike fell But I kinda stopped it in mid way and let it slowly down to reduce the impact damage. After a while people came to pick my bike up and I was like, MERI BABY KO CHUNA MT!! I'll pick it up myself
Wasn't hurt but my bike took some damage
This number plate cut my rear seat my handle and wheel aren't aline now so the tstem is gone, the front wheel got a lil damaged at the border a few scratches on the left side stickers
Didn't say anything to the splendour guy cause even if he sold his bike he wouldn't be able to incur for my damaged and the other people were already screaming at him
Went to the service after my classes and told them to change everything that is and might be affected my the impact
So now the approx cost of new parts in total would be around 20,000-25,000 😅 thank god I have my insurance
Pics of the damage coming up in a jiffy

Nice to hear you aren't hurt, take care
And you seem to have a rare quality
most people wouldn't have let him go after causing such an accident

Not the type of kid who would shout at anyoneOriginally posted by AngadV View PostNice to hear you aren't hurt, take care

And even if I shouted or did something my bike wouldn't get fixed by itself by magic
I would only just dump my anger on him so I prefer not to talk to these people and just go my way
still I'm pissed until my bike gets fixed which would take 2 weeks for the parts to arrive
The bike's still in drivable condition just need to tilt the handle just 4 degrees to the left to drive the bike straight
