Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
That's really sad.. Damage to the forks/tree is the worst as whatever you do, the bike won't feel the same as it was before and even if it does, you will always doubt it. If something like this would've had happened to me(touchwood it doesn't) I would've seen to it that that person would never make such a mistake again.Originally posted by DoubleagentZ View Post

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Well I used to live in Dubai so even if an accident happened there we used to come out of our vehicles are greet and hug each other first XD and then call the special police which comes and sorts the thing out but here it's like gali dey pelo and leave which isn't my stuff. Well I told the service centre head (whose an awesome friend of mine) to change what ever part is and could be effected and trust me he's the best there is in Lucknow so I doubt I would feel anything different cause he's even changing the front disk plate along with the rim and left handle. My greatest fear was something like this and it came true 😅Originally posted by Amodraut View PostThat's really sad.. This is one of my worst fears when there's nothing you could do to save your bike. Ride safe man. Do you have zero dep insurance? Do post pictures of the damage.Originally posted by DoubleagentZ View PostWell I used to live in Dubai so even if an accident happened there we used to come out of our vehicles are greet and hug each other first XD and then call the special police which comes and sorts the thing out but here it's like gali dey pelo and leave which isn't my stuff. Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Sorry to here about your accident, atleast you are OK, but hats off to you for the maturity shown by u in handling the matter.Originally posted by DoubleagentZ View PostSo had my first accident on my bike yesterday
Was going to my coaching in the morning at 7:40am on a one way road and for the first time wasn't driving fast. There was this car in front of me and I horned and the car changed lanes to the left and this idiotic splendour guy on his phone just came in front of me from the wrong way. I quickly stopped my bike n changed my lane but that guy was on his phone and paknicked and lock his wheels and the bike feel and came ramming my bike from the front. My bike fell But I kinda stopped it in mid way and let it slowly down to reduce the impact damage. After a while people came to pick my bike up and I was like, MERI BABY KO CHUNA MT!! I'll pick it up myself
Wasn't hurt but my bike took some damage
This number plate cut my rear seat my handle and wheel aren't aline now so the tstem is gone, the front wheel got a lil damaged at the border a few scratches on the left side stickers
Didn't say anything to the splendour guy cause even if he sold his bike he wouldn't be able to incur for my damaged and the other people were already screaming at him
Went to the service after my classes and told them to change everything that is and might be affected my the impact
So now the approx cost of new parts in total would be around 20,000-25,000 😅 thank god I have my insurance

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Pics of the damage
damages are less cosmetic and more internal as the collision was head on and taken by the front tire
even the indicator and visor remained unscratched

Well he was kinda elder to me so didn't feel like shouting on him and it's not like only I got the damages. Even tough it was his fault he also got himself and his bike damaged and he looked scared so didn't feel like yelling on him cause I guess he learnt his lesson about driving on the wrong side that too fast and on the phone. And I prefer ignoring these things but yea I'm soooo much pissed about my bike

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Already had a talk with the head there( he's a good friend of mine). He ordered the parts in front of me and said they would arrive in 2 weeks. He said I won't have to leave my bike at the service for 2 weeks and when the parts will arrive he'll call the insurance guy and me and the insurance guy would take the pics and everything would be done on that day itself. It said the estimate cost would be ₹20,000-25,000 out of which I would have to pay like just ₹2,000-3,000Originally posted by SpeedyKol View PostDoubleagentZ, its a really sad sight, specially the sliced seat. Do share the costs and the time estimates given by the service team. It would help many of us here.
He said if it was urgent he could try to arrange the parts from the near by centres but I didn't want to bother him so much so I said it's okay and I can wait for 2 weeks
Will share the details of the fixing with pics and actual cost once it's all done

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
RC390 being a higher compression engine you should always opt for high octane fuel. Normal file is 89 octane only and you will loose power and performance along with milage. Atleast use 93 octane if not 98Originally posted by holy View PostHey frnds! Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Mileage of 20kmpl is completely normal. I have got mileage of 19-27kmpl in the past. Although most of the time i get 23kmpl.Originally posted by holy View PostHey frnds!
