Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Thank you! What does getting the gear pedal realigned mean? Like taking it apart and shifting it around? Or some type of other work? Sorry if this is a dumb question, this is my first bike and I would like to know it inside out.Originally posted by AngadV View PostUsed to happen to me, its a simple issue of getting your gear pedal realigned at service centre.

The gear lever has an adjuster to adjust the freeplay held in place by nut. But since you have a gear shift indicator issue, it's wise to get the gear indicator checked.Originally posted by r2yneth View PostThank you! What does getting the gear pedal realigned mean? Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Hey guys, going a little off topic here, but I didn't really know where to ask this, but how many traffic violations does it take to have your license suspended/revoked etc.?
Has it happened to anyone? I've had quite a few unlucky incidents(plain helmet) recently, so just wondered about this.
@B7ACKTHORN in case this post is too off topic, do feel free to shift/delete it
Thanks!

I think if you pay the fine each time for each traffic violations then there is nothing to worry about cancellation of license.Originally posted by AngadV View PostHey guys, going a little off topic here, but I didn't really know where to ask this, but how many traffic violations does it take to have your license suspended/revoked etc.?

Thanks mate.Originally posted by SpeedyKol View PostZero depreciation should cost nothing more than 30% of standard premium. Keep asking several insurance companies or check policybazaar.
Policybazzar is quite interesting and the rates are cheaper also. So is it trust worthy to buy a plan from policybazzar ??

Ended with HDFC ergo, premium is 3,889 for zero dep and IDV 150,000.
Not bothered much on IDV than zero dep so went ahead with HDFC.

Isn't 1.5L a little too less for a new RC390?Originally posted by nilesh9777 View PostEnded with HDFC ergo, premium is 3,889 for zero dep and IDV 150,000.

So in case you crash the bike real bad and expenses exceed the IDV value, you get just the IDV value after calculating depreciation, i.e, 10% right after it comes out of the showroom.
So, effectively your current IDV minus depreciation is 1.35L only.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

its not new rc, I think he renewed insurance for 2nd year.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostIsn't 1.5L a little too less for a new RC390?

For me its bajaj alliance with idv 180,000 and premium 6.5k for 2nd year for zero dep,
too much costly.
