Its peak summer here and I have recently put engine ice coolant.
This issue could be the result of many things. I don't mean to scare you or anything, but the probable causes that come to my mind are faulty fuel pump, clogged injectors, faulty thermostat or even a faulty temp sensor. One easy was to rule out the fuel pump ( not 100% certainty ) is to prime the pump 2 - 3 times before thumping the starter for the cold start. If the bike starts and idles fine then it is probably because the pump isn't able to maintain adequate pressure in the fuel lines at first. A malfunctioning temp sensor could also screw up the ECU's calculations. Usually liquid cooled engines have a thermostat valve, a faulty one might be the cause all, though I doubt that would have this exact symptom. The best thing to do now is to get a fuel system/injector cleaner such as System G and also take the bike to the SVC as soon as you can. They could probably easily narrow the fault using the fault code generated by the ECU.

P.S - Is your bike still under warranty?

Even on a cold start, that auto choke should kick in and raise the rpm a bit when started and settle down after a few seconds. Never open the throttle when you thumb the starter.
This shutting down could be caused by a dirty throttle body, 'autochoke' (cant remember what exactly its called) not kicking in to raise the rpm automatically, bad fuel, bad spark plug and a fuel pump that not operating at right pressure at idle.
I suggest you start by first filling up the tank from a different petrol bunk once and if possible use 15ml of system g additive. And if it still continues to cause a problem check get the other items checked.
That name that you forgot is called an enricher, achieves the same as a choke but work in the exact opposite. The choke reduces air flow into the carb's throat, the enricher increases the fuel supplied without changing the position of the butterfly valve. The end result is that the AFR becomes rich. Just passing on what I know! Cheers.
      Must ride on!

Before you take the bike in for a check up, ask the SVC seniors whether using Engine Ice would void your warranty. If you checked that before you changed then its fine, if not go and ask them. If they say that warranty will be void, I strongly suggest that you change back to Inugel coolant ( stock coolant I believe ) before taking it in. You don't want to give them a reason to deny your warranty. You should push for replacement of the fuel pump if the error code point to it. Pretty expensive to change later on if it fails again. So, after checking on the warranty part, take her in and ask them to check the error code. But also add the prescribed dosage of System G for the next tankful and see if there is any change, cause honestly this could also be something as trivial as a clogged injector or even a lose battery terminal. You never really know. Hope for the best and take her in for a checkup.

What the.. I'd never be able to do this to my bike. Maybe they borrowed someone else's. But it's good to know it still works though

Guys I had a question regarding some accessories I'd like to purchase:
                1. Padded seat: Recently did 70kms in city(took 3.5 hours in traffic) and couldn't even move after that.
I remember on this thread a little while ago someone posted about this, but I'm not able to find it, so could anyone help me find one I could use? Is there any KTM power part for it? I did see one for the Duke, but not RC.

                2. Phone mount: To put on the front of the bike, for a phone to be mounted, as otherwise I'd have to keep checking Maps by stopping the bike again and again. Looked online, but all I found was some cheap stuff on Ebay, and nothing in particular for the RC.

                3. Handlebars: Not sure what its called, but its the padded stuff you can put on the handlebars, which would help reduce vibrations as well as make it more comfortable.

Could anyone help me find any of these? (Money isn't an issue as long as I'm paying for something which is reliable and of good quality, and not a cheap knockoff which will break easily)

                Thanks!

Hi buddies, planning to change to Engine Ice on my bike, but I have a few questions?

                  1. Will SVC change the Coolant to engine ICE if I provide them the Engine ICE.
                  2. Will 1.89L be enough?
                  3. If the SVC Cannot change the Coolant is there any other place in chennai where I can get the coolant replaced.

I do not want to change the coolant on my own ad DIY because my friend's DIY ended up in mixing the Engine oil and coolant voiding the warranty on his DUKE.

Moto V loggers and DIY enthusiasts if possible it would be great if you can post the Service instructions for RC 390 as video in Youtube. (there is not even a single link on how to change Coolant on RC 390 as vedio )

                  Thanks in advance.

Did 4th Servicing @7k oddo, costed rs 2700.
Changed oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, spark plug.
Bike is super smooth now and sound is also smooth.

For paid service labour charges are 800 rs, feel bit higher. But servicing is good so not to complain much.

Dude, if there is no problem with bike then it's routine servicing like oil change, filter change and chain adjustment and lubrication. The rest all are superflulous.
