It's ok to fix it with the plug in. just make sure they dab a little bit of that glue on the string before inserting it.Originally posted by holy View PostHey ... i live in a small town ... only rc owner in town ... nearest svc 50 kms ... and puncture repair shop do not risk to open the tyre ... and putting the string thing in metzeler feels like making a hole in the heart ... but nothing to do also ...
These liquids are meant to be used to only temporarily seal the puncture to avoid quicker air loss. Please get the tire repaired using either the plugin or internal mushroom patch. Don't call it 'puncture proof'Originally posted by SubhashGowda07 View PostI'm using puncture proof liquid in my tyres, if u remove nail stickin in tyres the liquid inside will patch it up. there are many other vehicles that run on tubeless tires.. so relax. a puncture is a puncture whether on a ktm or a pulsar.Originally posted by holy View PostWe have only 3 duke 200 and 1 duke 390 in town ...

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
I successfully changed the coolant to engine ice today morning.but the problem I am suffering now is which screw will go where on the panels. Fitted the side fairings. Damn service manual doesn't give an exploded view of the panels and screws like the yamaha manuals. Trial and error is very time consuming.Any help will be appreciated.

Coolant disappearing. Its definitely not in the engine oil. Checked for it while changing oil a week back. I redline the bike a lot. Any pointers?Originally posted by SpeedyKol View PostI successfully changed the coolant to engine ice today morning.but the problem I am suffering now is which screw will go where on the panels. Check if the radiator cap is fitted loosely or not. Also search for coolant drop marks..maybe there is a leak somewhere.Originally posted by jackofsome View PostCoolant disappearing. Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Hi Guys,
First of all thanks for all your help and assistance in helping me clear my head in deciding between various bikes that I had in my list.(Yeah! and its RC390 finally)
I walked in the showroom did a Test Drive of a 2016 RC390. Paid the booking amount and now waiting for D-Day (Friday).
I am to get a chance to pick one of the three machines that the showroom guys have in stock. The thing that worries me is of the three they gave me one to test drive (before which it(in-display) was swapped with the one standing outside) so I kindof doubt that even the swapped one could have been used for test drive purpose.
One last help please help in choosing the right one. Things to note and remember on D-Day.
Also as some of you pointed out the insurance that I get is from Bajaj and the showroom guy said its a bumper-bumper cover (around 6000INR). He also mentioned that if I avail for EMI will be getting a Rider and Third-Party coverage for extra 500INR. Is it fine if I opt for this.
Also I am availing a loan of 50k for a period of 1year and the processing charges is of 2000INR. Is this right?
Thanks in advance. Happy that I am finally joining the herd after more than a year's wait

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Firstly bumper2bumper for 6k is a rip-off. I got mine done for 3700 sumthing for non bumper2bumper. Add 30% to 3700 for zero depreciation. Ask for a quote from various insurance companies for the rates. Also negotiate about the loan. Basically you should pay no processing charges for any kind of loan. Try negotiating that. Also get to know the rate of interest, foreclosure charges, etc.Originally posted by abhi1991 View PostHi Guys,

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
11350kms on the ODO and my Radiator Fan stopped working yet again.
The first time was when I had clocked around 5500kms. Got it replaced under warranty back then.
Now I have to go and get it replaced again! I read that the fans have been significantly improved in the newer Models.
Can somebody tell me what is the approximate month of manufacture I should be looking at?
Thank You!

Still fan is ok. Though its running for longer time than usual. But not worried as temperature is yet to hit last two bars or bike shut off.
