Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Thankyou for your suggestion bro but.. mrf is way bad choice to go for, i have used metz front and michelin rear, which is a great combination, but michelin front makes the bike steer heavily, so i wanted to go for pirelli D2. But thanks again for the suggestion.Originally posted by s1d View Post

MRF will do its job untill you turn a corner junkie, and if the grip is only point of concern then METZELERS can fit the bill i believeOriginally posted by kany1991 View PostIt lacks grip For 200 is fine but for 390 it's big no [emoji16] [emoji16] [emoji16]Drop a gear and disappear

I'll prefer pilot Street over revz any day and Mets are too expensive...!!!!Originally posted by ayanarya View PostMRF will do its job untill you turn a corner junkie, and if the grip is only point of concern then METZELERS can fit the bill i believe

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
The combo of front mrf revz fc1 (not fc, that came with the older 200's) and rear michelin on a 390 did not lack grip in my experience. I've ridden it both in the wet and dry and it held up without fuss. this was both on the highway and city. If you stick to the recommended tire pressure (especially at the front), it's just fine.Originally posted by kany1991 View PostIt lacks grip
For 200 is fine but for 390 it's big no
Of-course if one wants the stickiest rubber, get the metz.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Finally filled up 300v yesterday from the service centre. Told them politely to fill it up and they obliged. Got it done during the first paid service. Air filter, fine fuel filter and oil filter were changed. Today I rode to work and back. First observation, bike is breathing much easier now thanks to the new filters. Resultant mileage has increased reasonably. 300v is really smooth and gear changes are noticeably smoother. Total damages excluding engine oil: ₹1192.

Tank is matte finish. Battery cover & front transparent panels are glossy Honda City Tafetta white. The black panel in between the tank and side fairing is gloss metallic black.Originally posted by ayanarya View Postlooks awesome!just one query, is it a matte finish paint or the glossy one?

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Try castrol power1 racing, using it since 8000kms superb in performance and smoothness.and best is its in spec/rating (jaso and api), unlike 300v.Originally posted by DoubleagentZ View PostRead a lot of mixed reviews for 300v
It's gonna be 2 years since I bought the bike and I'm thinking of changing the coolant to engine ice and and engine oil to 300v
So people who have used 300v can you guys share your opinionMotorcycling heals, big time...

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
First time in my 12k and 2 years on rc i was pressing front brakes continuously very very hard for 5/6 seconds.
I was doing 120/130 and suddenly a truck driver changed his lane without any signal, without looking into mirror and i left with no choice to stop bike as early as possible.
I realized front brakes modulations by ABS system.
I swear if there was no ABS then i would have ended with bad accident.
Guys always buy bikes with ABS.
Ride safe.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
First off 300V is a good oil. But, over time the engine gets clunky with the use. In my experience of more than 6k+ with 300V I'd say the engine performance isn't improved drastically. But the engine does feel "free". Secondly over a period of time, after the bike clocks more than 2k kms with the oil, the engine starts feeling cluttery, this is especially true for the 220s. One of the best all rounder FS you can get is 7100, beautiful oil, performs awesome in 220s and KTMs and Honda's. The 300V is just overkill.Originally posted by DoubleagentZ View PostRead a lot of mixed reviews for 300v

The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
300v is a brilliant oil. Best you can get here. It's an overkill perhaps for smaller capacity bikes considering liter class bikes use it too. However, there is no denying the fact that it by far outperforms everything and anything available in the market.Originally posted by DoubleagentZ View PostRead a lot of mixed reviews for 300v

IMHO, it's perfect for people who love to high-rev their bikes or undertake fast cruising for long distances, especially on small 150-200cc engines. This oil just doesn't lose its viscosity and can take serious amounts of thrashing. Heck, it didn't lose its bright green colour/texture even after 4000kms on my FZ16, despite regular triple digit highway runs where I was regularly hitting 7000+ rpm. The engine stayed as good as new all along.
