Like - tick.... Tick... Tick.. continuesly ... Any idea what's wrong???Check your chain guard, the black cover, you will find "chain slack measurements" embossed in the plastic itself. Earlier there used to be sticker, but now, KTM has made sure that the measurements are engraved in the plastic guard itself, which is a clever idea in my opinion.Originally posted by kunal2428 View PostIs there a diagram??? I never noticed
Now, instead of that sticker, you can see it engraved in the plastic guard itself. Just look a little closer and above, and you'll be able to find it.
Just happen to see the post has been answered already. Thank you, Pawan.
Cheers!

The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Bike was around 4.4-5.5rpm all the timeOriginally posted by ynike99 View Post70-75 in 6th gear means you have slipped the clutch which causes premature clutch wear. Don't do it again for long stretches, it will wear out the clutch faster.
Still didn't understand slipped the clutch thing

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Never engage 6th before 85 (preferable 90) because you'll notice that it heavily lugs the engine. I would've just stayed on 4th or 5th and I'm sure the bike would've returned the same F.E.Originally posted by DoubleagentZ View PostBike was around 4.4-5.5rpm all the time

KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
I've seen figures like 7kmpl to 41kmpl (even 47, but I'm not sure).
Digital meter is never to be trusted on this.
Renault duster shows 27 and 33kmpl sometimes but if you check it yourself it's hardly 10-12 kmpl [emoji23]
No matter it's a 2lac bike or a 12lac bike / car. A digital meter for mileage is never accurate or close.
The only thing I conclude from it is :
Low figures on meter :
Something like 7kmpl to 20kmpl
I'm riding insane and petrol consumption is high.
High figures like 25kmpl to 40kmpl
I'm riding sane, within RPM limits and maintaining everything.
I might be getting the max engine can do, minimum fuel consumption.First I was Scared But then We Made a Deal

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
It's accurate for the most part. I have myself got 38 kmpl on 100% highway ride and it was showing the same too. It has never shown me extreme ends of fuel economy for this bike.Originally posted by Sird View PostI've seen figures like 7kmpl to 41kmpl (even 47, but I'm not sure).

Well at least I haven't seen.Originally posted by Gunslingin_Ridr View PostIt's accurate for the most part. I have myself got 38 kmpl on 100% highway ride and it was showing the same too. It has never shown me extreme ends of fuel economy for this bike.
Did around 6-7k on first RC390 and now around 17k on this one.
But never have I achieved a mileage like that because of my riding style in city. [emoji23]
Even in long tour few months back, after calculation it was showing some 21-22
While maintaining 90-110 kmph on straight highway.First I was Scared But then We Made a Deal

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
That's too low. I get that much in peak city traffic, granted I never rev it hard, but I'm not always easy on the throttle either. 21 was the least mileage I've managed.Originally posted by Sird View PostEven in long tour few months back, after calculation it was showing some 21-22

Even now, going by ring road for work, I get 29-30 kmpl.

Just a difference of around 1-2kms sometimes
