By any chance if KTM increases fuel tank capacity, hope we can retrofit that on older models.Originally posted by Mayankisme View Post

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
You really don't have to carry extra fuel during the journey as almost all the highways have lot of petrol pumps within the range of 150 - 160 KMs. Just that you have to plan the journey well and the frequent fuel breaks.Originally posted by Mayankisme View PostSo the usable quantity is around 7 lts I guess? Apart from carrying extra petrol along, is there any other solution to enhance the tank range?
Also, how are the headlights? Does anything needs upgradation on that front?

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Coming from CBR250 I'm sure you'll regret the decision for first couple of long tours (not daily usage as much).Originally posted by Mayankisme View PostSure, I shall go ahead with the purchase. Upgrading from cbr250.
CBR is a pure tour helping machine. You give your 100% and it will make things easy for you but RC on the other hand is different. You give you 100% and it will ask for more.
My pointer would be to just get the bike and first do your daily usage only. Do not get started with a long tour just after getting it home. Because you are so much enthusiastic that you pointed it out in your query, I thought this might be your plan.First I was Scared But then We Made a Deal

About the touring, I upgraded to CBR from FZ.
Guess CBR to RC shall throw the similar challenges I faced back then. Initially I will be using the bike for daily office commutes and sunday morning rides. That should break-in the engine(and me) nicely for intercity/interstate tours.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
It rained in Delhi 6-7 days back and I bike was under cover for almost next 24 hours because I wasn't home. So the bike got this :

How do I get rid rid of this ?
I've tried :
1. Keep the bike faces into sunlight - Useless
2. Riding the bike keeping the lights on , but since the LED's do not generate much heat - Useless.
3. Tapping slowly with finger so that they go down as droplet and make their way out - Useless
Anything else I'm missing that might help?First I was Scared But then We Made a Deal

Oil filter charges : 74₹Originally posted by SpeedyKol View PostWanted to know a few things:

Fine fuel filter charges : 100₹
Your own oil
KTM Paid service charges : 747₹
Yes they might allow your oil depending on the kind of relation you have with them.
To tight mirror :
1. Open this :

2. This will loose open the indicator light.
3. Move the indicator light to a side and you can see a bolt and spring inside it. That's the mirror adjustment screw.
P.S. : you have to sit and look upwards to see it or tilt you head all the way up.
4.Tight and loose as per your need.
5. Put back the indicator to its place and tighten the screw you loose open in first step.
Done!First I was Scared But then We Made a Deal

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Any jugaad like adding spacers for extending view area of old RC390 mirrors? Only I can see my arms.
I would also like to know what all points to look for while getting a paid service done when odo is just 4500kms.
Anything other than fine fuel filter replacement, oil filter change, coolant level check & battery voltage check?Last edited by SpeedyKol; 02-02-2017, 01:56 PM.

Try Those blind spot mirrors.Originally posted by SpeedyKol View PostAny jugaad like adding spacers for extending view area of old RC390 mirrors? Only I can see my arms.
People use it often in cars and motorcycles.
Usually they cost around 100-150 bucks.
BUT, the double tape on them is cheap and you'll loose them in few days after all the vibration and road travels.
So better use 3M double tape.
If you've no idea about these. On YouTube see OggyF's RC390. You'll see these mirror there.First I was Scared But then We Made a Deal

Thanks for the quick reply. Planning to get the paid service done except oil change to 300v which I plan to do myself.Originally posted by Sird View PostTry Those blind spot mirrors.
