Has anyone got K&N KT-1211 air filter on their bike? How is it?

Fantastic bike! I got no issues at all so far. But, the only thing i want to improve are the brakes. I am used to using one finger for braking and there just isn't enough stopping power for that. I suppose a proper solution would be getting a different master cylinder or replacing the whole brake system. But, i was wondering if simply changing the pads make the braking lower effort?

How about these. It says it's for the Duke, will it work with the RC390? Has anyone here tried these?

The cheapest option for a better braking "feel/feedback" would be the EBC sintered brake pad upgrade. There have been very good results with this from numerous members. Though it's a bit on the costlier side, they do provide the progressive bike (sintered metal) pads. Secondly, before you change your pads, make sure your rotor is in the right thickness and clean the caliper pistons thoroughly and then continue with the installation of the pads.

Few members have done it for details check few pages back.

Users reporting smooth engine in mid range and top end. Also engine breathe easily and change in sound.
Some are reporting that increased air fuel ratio might harm engine in long run.
Filtering is inadequate and requires frequent cleaning of air filter

          So Its all your call.

              So relay is Must!
Relay is normally fitted when you dont want to disturb the original wiring. These loud horns draw more current than the stock ones, so what we do is connect the horn to the relay, which is connected to the
battery supply. The stock horn wiring is also connected to the relay. Whenever you press the horn button relay energises, makes contact, passes battery supply to the horns and the horn blows! Relay has nothing to do with maintaing watts or anything!

Beautiful. So, it was indeed some misconnection somewhere. Did you disconnect the battery or did you undo and reinstall all the same all over?

                  Cheers!

Had removed the battery, tank and disconnected a few sensors and the ecu as I had dropped a nut and one of those funny tophat type washers. Took me 3 hrs of hunting before I found them. Also to replace the fuel filter it's almost impossible to do with the tank in place as the rubber tubes were on extremely tight.
will be putting the fairings on tomorrow.

                        ------------------------------------

So i took my bike for it's first service to KTM Kirti Nagar in Delhi based on a recommendation by a YouTuber.
The supervisor Mahendra there told me that the engine oil, oil filter and chain clean & lube will be done. He tried to persuade me to get a teflon coat which i refused. I signed something that he scribbled on a piece of paper and left.

Came back to take my bike and after paying the amount of Rs 1840 the guy quietly slip me another bill for "X-Clean". I immediately realized that i have been conned. This is a fuel additive that they added to the oil. The supervisor did not tell me about this while getting my sign (and of course he claims he did).

                        There are two issues here:
                        1. I have been conned byRs380.
                        2. I don't want this thing in the oil. As far as i am concerned they have added a contaminant to the oil.

This is the typical petty corrupt bast*rds you will find in Delhi (or maybe the country in general): somebody walks in with a new bike and the first thing they calculate is how do we con and make some money out of him. Makes my skin crawl!

Anyway, all you guys who have purchased a new bike be aware of this. Ask for a complete breakdown of the service costs before signing it.

                          Hey,
I've been in this situation quite often with KTM too. It's extremely rare to find an SVC that provides honest work.

Getting to the point, drop an email at KTM's customer complaint email, its mentioned somewhere on this thread. Once, at a SVC, they changed my chain sprocket at 7k kms and charged me 4k for it unnecessarily.
Sent a mail, and the very next day, the showroom manager called and emailed me regarding the issue, and sent their head service advisor to my house to check up on my issue and get it resolved.

Email them once, you probably would get your oil changed without the additive, which I too feel is rather unnecessary.

                                Kudos for being innovative.
My concern would be that unless the loop is secured again to the the bike after attaching to the helmet it's just gonna bounce off the pillion seat the moment you hit the first pothole. Why don't you use a bungee cord instead with one end bolted to the bike and the other end with the usual hook which will securely clip onto any bit of the chassis after passing through the chinstrap.

Secondly because of the way the bolt is attached to the bike it's just gonna work loose over time as the strap will exert a ratchet like action on it when it's being used. This could be solved by using some blue threadlock on the threads.
