Can anyone give me an ownership review of the 2016 model of the rc390 when compared to the 2015 model. Also how much would the maintenance cost be when compared to a cbr 250. Thanks.

regarding maintenance cost its easy to maintain and not heavy on pocket as spares and labor are readily available and cheap compared to CBR.
Free service :around 1.5-2K (change of air filter, oil filter, oil, etc)
paid service: around 2-2.5K (change of air filter, oil filter, oil, etc)
spares costs are less compared to CBR e.g chain and sprocket costs around 3 K.

Guys please Check this out and let me know your comments...[/QUOTE]
that's awesome! But it looks a bit similar to r15 which has same color. This idea is good for customization [emoji108]🏼

Here is what happen to my tyre:
It exploded like as if someone had put a firecracker under the tyre and lifted the rear end by 6 inches before setting down. Luckily I was at about 40 to 50 kmph when it happen. Anything higher it would have been a disaster in the making.
This crack is nothing compared to what I can see in my Bike + mine has it in front tyre.
A burst might end up as an accident [emoji15][emoji33]First I was Scared But then We Made a Deal

remove itOriginally posted by holy View PostHi friends ... i'm new to this forum ... how to save the under belly pan from scratches ??
adjusting the suspension isn't going to help much. rather get the area that you are worried about treated with 3m paint protection film (3m ppf)

I just had a question here, by stiffening the rear shock, wouldn't it lead to more shocks etc and potholes/speedbreakers, i.e. wouldn't it be felt harder?Originally posted by nilesh9777 View Poststiffen the rear shock absorber to 5 or 6

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
That's a sacrifice you have to make . Else as someone else mentioned here ,brake before the speedbreaker or the bump and accelerate while you move over them .So you release the front suspensions of the load and hence reduce the ground impact with the underbelly . But scraping is inevitable at some points.Originally posted by AngadV View PostI just had a question here, by stiffening the rear shock, wouldn't it lead to more shocks etc and potholes/speedbreakers, i.e. wouldn't it be felt harder? The North Eastern Sojourn- wanderlust diary-7000 Kilometers|| Sikkim || Bhutan

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Yes harder suspension means better vehicle control but this also laxes on the comfort department. Harder suspension means direct feel of the road, be it smooth tarmac or rough roads, all the undulations are directly felt by the rider.Originally posted by AngadV View PostI just had a question here, by stiffening the rear shock, wouldn't it lead to more shocks etc and potholes/speedbreakers, i.e. wouldn't it be felt harder?
Compared to the CBR250 the parts of the KTMs are affordable, this is for the standard CBR, if you go for the ABS, then the pad cost alone would cost the total third service cost of the Duke and most other bikes out there. But, KTM in all ways affordable and easy on the pocket. CBR's parts are comparatively costly.Originally posted by Aaron93 View PostCan anyone give me an ownership review of the 2016 model of the rc390 when compared to the 2015 model. Yes the RC series are bugged with belly scrapping issue, not much can be done. But one solution that can be done is either removing the belly pan or let them scrap as much to your lean angle and then forget about it. Riding two up does soften the rear suspension up a bit and especially with a heavy pillion, one can easily scrap the belly pan. One can harden the rear suspension that helps to an extent and prevents extreme weight sagging. But inevitably one will scrape the belly when you least expect. One can also try using custom made spacers for the rears, but again this would affect height if the riders are vertically challenged and makes the front end bog a little bit.Originally posted by holy View PostHi friends ... i'm new to this forum ... how to save the under belly pan from scratches ??

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Stiffening suspension definitely avoids scrapping of belly pan on normal speed breakers.Originally posted by AngadV View PostI just had a question here, by stiffening the rear shock, wouldn't it lead to more shocks etc and potholes/speedbreakers, i.e. wouldn't it be felt harder?
Regarding shocks, they feel normal. Not much difference felt on stiffening suspension
