Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
You were the same guy na who hadn't got his first service done? Every bike has 10.5k rpm. Its digital meter is a bit different.. Try to notice carefully.. It may not be constantly touching 10.5k but it would be increasing decreasing and touching 10.5k again.Originally posted by Pawan Kajla View PostBt mine is not going above 10k rpm

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
hi 390 owners am confused as hell between RC200 nd 390.
390 more bang for bucks - ABS (main reason)
But my worry is FE and Maint. cost like for say Metz gettin worn out soon
Will it be ok(budget frndly) for daily ride of 20-25km (up+dwn) on weekdays? or shud I settle with 200
Please suggest
Thanks

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
You think all RC390 owners are millionaires, ready to blow up cash? The answer is in your question itself. The tyres are not like a pencil eraser that the more u rub,the more it will vanish. Ride in a sane manner and it will be more VFM.Originally posted by abhi1991 View Posthi 390 owners am confused as hell between RC200 nd 390.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Hi, Firstly, if it's your first bike then get a 200 hands down. 390 is a bit too much if you're beginning.
I would like to ask you, why the rc? Also consider duke 200 if you want abs. Rc is intended for track use only (people buy this bike because it looks good, and get frustrated afterwards) .. If you can't appreciate the reason for what it is made, you would not like the bike..
Metzelers are the best for cornering(the main reason you should buy rc for ) and the do get worn out soon but they offer great grip, so if you're ok with it get it.
Fe is about 22-24 in city with calm riding and 30-32 on highway for rc 390. It does require maintenance and you have to take care of her..
So if you're worrying right now about these things, they will give you a headache afterwards that you should've got 200. Rc 200 doesn't get abs because it increases its cost, but abs is a life saver.. So if you're looking at mostly commuting think about duke 200 or 390 considering above points too.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Hi thanks for the response and tonclarify nope duke 200 doesnt come with ABS, nly 390 versions have abs.Originally posted by Amodraut View PostDuke 200 had abs version right? 😿
Personally I am into sports bikes not a street bike guy So. RC aint gonna be my first bike have 180 RTR Apache for almost 5yrs now.
390 is way too much power for me am not gonna race or sumthing just a regular guy of wrkin class. Am conaidering it only cause of the ABS option that RC200 lacks.
But like I said FE is the catch as like most of yall here just a middle class guy with mid-range pay..[emoji28]
From your say, I think i will have to pass on 390 nd its ABS and settle with 200 so tat i dont regret my decision anytime later..thanks [emoji4]

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Yes.. I had ridden duke 200 abs from first lot of dukes, so I thought it is still available..maybe it was optional.. Anyways Good decision. But if you really want abs you can try out other bikes too. If you've used rtr before, you can get used to the power.. But fe will be low and maintenance high, just got to live with it.Originally posted by abhi1991 View PostHi thanks for the response and tonclarify nope duke 200 doesnt come with ABS, nly 390 versions have abs.

I think you should get a 390 duke and live happily ever after. Trust me its the best choice you can make now[emoji4]Originally posted by abhi1991 View Posthi 390 owners am confused as hell between RC200 nd 390.

Why don't you keep the RTR and get the 390 for week end runs or something? I got a 390 a month back and won't be earning a penny till June. I can still take care of her fine. Yes, I get short on money at times, I need to spend carefully now. But I don't ask my folks for a single paisa more in the name of fuel. I get the regular pocket money any middle class Indian gets from their parents and still manage quite fine.Must ride on!
