I get jitters every time I raise the throttle these days. People just come out of nowhere and stand right in front of your front wheel ready to be taken down. They're ready to risk everybody's life including theirs but not ready to walk a 100-200m to cross the road safely at an intersection.
    Ride safe guys!
    OMG! People these days.. _/\_

That's how it happened, he lost control while trying to avoid the pedestrian, hit an auto rickshaw and then crashed into the divider.

This could've happened to anyone, in such situations experience or expertise barely matters.

Just that expect the best, but be prepared for the worst that Indian roads offer.

@dannyR15 aka Gypsy Danger is no more.

Ride and rest in peace brother. Our condolences to your family man. You were too young to go like that in road accident man.

Ride safe my brothers, anticipate every obstacle, lane changing vehicles, abrupt cross roads, and everything that just seems dangerous on our bad roads. Remember, use our bike's acceleration to get out of tight spots. As bikers it is always our fault if we meet with an accident, we must realise biking is potentially dangerous and therefore must anticipate the worst of possibilities on roads.

            How did this happen?
OMG...... SOOOOO SAD.... I came in as Im planning a 10,000km long trip next month and wanted to write about it here and saw this news.......
Danny was a GREAT person.... May his Soul always rest in peace... I follow all his videos..... Tooo bad.... my blood is running cold and tears ran down as i type this.

Getting first service done. I asked the mechanic about the changes he can spot in My2016 model. These are the ones he found out and i missed
1.) gear lever and rear break lever
                2.) rear brake reservoir
                3.) battery terminals
                4.) small rear shocker mudflap
5.) plastic on the sides to prevent mud splashes on the front mudguard
                6.) front seat padding

                  Lowering the RC390
I am 5'6" and I find the following setup sufficient for myself.
I have the rear shock in the softest setting and have lowered the front in the following manner.
Loosen the triple clamp bolts (top and bottom bolts each side)
Then push the forks up through the triple clamps. I think I pushed them up about a centimetre. Make sure both sides are
                  equal
                  Tighten the triple clamp bolts

It also helps if you wear proper riding boots as these add about an inch to your height.

Anyone more serious about lowering check the following link:

After getting first service done i have started taking my rc to high revs. Amazing power. Already power wheelied couple of times in first gear. And yes it vibrates a lot.

As promised I am back with an update to the ongoing work on Hatsumi, my beloved 2015 RC390.

                      Odo: 10,350

                      - Issues - None

                      - Upgrades
                      1. Motul 10w fork oil
                      2. Amsoil 600 Brake fluid
                      3. K&N KT-1211
                      4. Galfer Sintered Brake pads
                      5. Powertronics piggy back (yet to install)
                      6. KTM Duke 690 Adjustable levers

The lack of feel on the front brakes still persists even after changing to Amsoil brake fluid. We ended up ordering a rebuild kit for the front master cylinder and when that didn't work we just replaced the part, under warranty of course. This has improved the braking to an extent but the brakes still lack feedback. I am currently looking at options for an alternative to the BYBRE master cylinder.

The disc brake pads have been changed as well and I now have a pair of Galfer Sintered brake pads (Part number is too long to recall but PM me and I will give you the part number if you are interested.) These offer lesser fade on the track but definitely need some heat to start working optimally.

The front suspension issue has been sorted as well. Upgraded to Motul 10w fork oil, dips lesser. The rear is yet to be sorted. Ran out of funds and couldn't pick up the part I wanted.

I've decided to stick to the stock tires for now.

Will update once I have more upgrades installed. Ride safe folks

                        Hi! Nice name btw. [emoji16]
I had one question and one suggestion.
The question is how is the bike after installing the K&N kt1211?
The suggestion is go for the Powertronic. It's very good. I'm saying because I've one. And Now I'm thinking to get one air filter..

Anyone has installed bar end mirrors? Stock mirrors are not doing the job for me.. What options do I have if I want to change the mirrors? What I'm concerned about is the side indicators

If anyone is planning this upgrade do it without hesitation Powertronic piggyback ecu is really a great upgrade to your 390 I have installed it around 6 months back using it with the combination of k&n air filter. Till now it has turned out to be pretty reliable.

                            Benefits

                            1. Noticible Power bump one can easily smoke stock 390
                            2. Smoother fueling at low revs.
                            3. Fan kicks in earlier keeps running temp low.
                            4. Sharper throttle response
                            5. Improves the top end as well as the already great mid range
                            6. Lots of power wheelies : )

                            The cons I faced

                            1. lower fuel efficiency in city but highway runs always shows around 40+kmpl on the MID.
                            2. The motor takes longer to crank than stock (2sec)
                            3. The underseat storage is now lost

If your changing the airfilter n ecu u also need a full exhaust system to go for it, I think I've seen ixil hyperlow mainly, sounds pretty two strokey n powerful.

The ixil doesn't has a good review. I had talked to someone who sells ixil, he had told me that people after installing it complained about the power they lost. I don't think spending 26-27k for this exhaust system is good. Even I had heard the sound and had the same opinion as yours. But later I got to know that it isn't that good.
