Of you guys are talking about the average displayed on the speedo, then I've seen 42kmpl[emoji14]Calculating it on a tank to tank basis I always get 24 kmpl.

      Noob question

If I get my bike fixed on insurance

Do I just need to pay just 10% of the cost of the parts or are there any other charges too that I would have to pay such as paperwork cost or labour?

There are 2 types or insurances
            1) 0 dep insurance 2)normal insurance

For 0 dep insurance, you are covered for 100% value of plastic and the 100% value of iron body parts as well.

For normal insurance, you are covered for 50% value of plastic parts and 100% value of iron body parts.

Now the above percentages could change to some extent depending on the insurer policy. It also depends on how old your bike is i.e. generally the insurance companies covers 90-95% of the cost of claimed and approved body parts for a year old bike and similarly this % gets low with the age of ur bike.

You would need to pay for the oil change and the labour charges whatsoever even after 0 dep. Insurance.

Make sure you get the surveyer approve the maximum number of bike's body parts in accidental claim.

Are you sure temp remians till last 3rd bars in city traffic with this fan? then its really good for them who commute a lot in city.
Anyways I have done 7k on oddo, but still fan is doing his job well, so no plan to replace it now.
Surely will consider this one if overall cost remains less than 2K as OEM fan costs around 1k with labour and can run for 10k with much fuss.
              Anyways thanks for sharing.

Riding on 40-70 which I have been doing for the past few days on an experimental basis I haven't checked it reserve to reserve. That's how I check to get the most accurate results practically possible. But for my usual riding style in city I get 25 km/l and on the highway I get 28-29 km/l. I think these are good figures for the kind of performance RC gives.

The FE indictor on the speedo though not very accurate does a decent job if u are riding it with less variations.

This is to post a 2 month review of the SPAL fan I got installed on my bike during the first service.

The fan is super silent, moves massive volumes of air, even when stationary in bumper to bumper traffic. When the bike is moving, it hardly needs to run for a minute to bring the temperatures down.

The fan was brought from USA, has a 3 year warranty, SPAL has an Indian subsidiary too but they require orders for at least 20 fans to place an order to SPAL Italy. SPAL only makes fans, they are one of the best in the world on that!

Can't we get an order for 20 qty of fans? Would love to get my hands on a SPAL fan if it works this good.

I think my radiator fan is nearing its death , I could feel the fan noise to be reduced a bit ,but bike does not hit high coolant temperature and when the fan engages ,the heat bars come back to normal before the fan switches off ,if I claimed warranty for this and ask for a replacement ,would they take it into consideration ?

The bike will get a lot smoother after successive first 2 services. U will love the power and handling.

You can go and give it a try. This radiator fan issue is quite common on this bike. I have already replaced 4 fans with 25k on odo. Just tell the svc guys that sometimes fan kicks in at lower rpms and sometimes its does not kich in at all. They would buy it.
