ChandigarhOriginally posted by DoubleagentZ View PostThey charge labour for changing pads that too 100? O.o
They never charged me tough
Already done 3 changes without labour cost for changing the pads
Which service centre did you go?
Even i was quite surprised, when i asked them, the manager told me that replacement labour charges of wear and tear parts are charged even during free services.
Unfortunately there is no other svc nearby.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Not only me, they are charging everyone the same in chandigarh,i dont think much can be done. As there's no other svc nearby.Originally posted by s1d View PostPlease read the 'self study manual' of the 390.
He was surely taken for a ride wrt charges. 250 for chain lube ! 100 for brake pad change! That too during a routine free service.
Well, that's how some of the svc's operate.. you might have to be careful or they might say 'saar you breathed some of the air from our air gun while it was being used to clean the bike, so 100rs for that'

yes, they rip everyone off if that's any consolation for you.Originally posted by kunal2428 View PostNot only me, they are charging everyone the same in chandigarh,i dont think much can be done. As there's no other svc nearby.
The svc should be displaying a chart with the labor charges (this is provided by ktm itself). I agree, some of them are charged high even for simple jobs.. which is why either you learn how to do it or watch them do it & get it done at a local mechanic for less than half the price.

Has anybody here fit this https://motofusion.in/shop/frame-sli...tm-rc-200-390/ frame slider onto their new rc 390 or the old one? They seem to protrude very less compared to frames and i doubt they will work as intended. Any inputs on this? and cant this be done without removing the frames?
Hey,
Just checked. It is the same. .2 same as urs on Trip 1. On Trip 2 its .5

Hmm, thanks mate. Less worried though now KTM has to explain this. I have put forth a complaint and feedback via service personnel. Lets see what they have to say.Originally posted by Deto View Postah!!!!just didnt pay attention....probably tomorrow

TIA.
You are right, leech. There are two pumps, one pressure pump and the other is suction or forced oil lubrication with performance-boosting casing evacuation (the suction pump not only transfers oil, but also pressure from the crankcase, thereby reducing the running resistance of the crank drive. So, this basically means that the crank working against the oil is reduced which means a freely spinning engine. Remember the post earlier I mentioned about static engine oil load.
As niku pointed out dothedly and spiraltech.in sell these fancy flashers. It's just a direct plug and play. Check their websites, the former sells them in eBay.Originally posted by Rahul.V. View PostHello everyone,
Has anyone installed hazard lamp function on their RC 390? If so where and how did you get it done?

Hi guys, Can anyone tell me what's the actual fuel tank capacity of RC390? In the manual it says 9.5 approx on the website it says 10. In real world I have barely been able to squeeze more than 7.7"Verso l'infinito e oltre"

7.5 is without reserves. Reserve is about 2+Originally posted by WILLIAMS View PostHi guys, Can anyone tell me what's the actual fuel tank capacity of RC390? In the manual it says 9.5 approx on the website it says 10. In real world I have barely been able to squeeze more than 7.7
So you can safely assume tank capacity is 9.5+ liter.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Hey Guys,
I am hearing a squeezing sound while applying the front brake, most of the times it when I break when I am above 40kmph or may be it is very less below 40kmph and its barely loud enough to hear. The sound increases as the speed increase. The front pads are fine and around 30% remaining, bikes has done 6500 kms till now. The braking power is not reduced and this started suddenly a fine day without any other issue or symptom.
There seems to be no dust or anything on the disc plate then what could be the issue?

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Missed taking isurance before 6:00PM today and all the insurance companies hiked rated immediately (checked online).
So ended with IFFCO TOKIO and paid 2809 for IDV 164560 ( No Zero dep) for 2015 RC390.
If I could have done same today before 6:00 PM then I could have saved atleast 500rs for same.
Anyways Car-bike, Insurances are getting more and more expensive year on year.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
If you mean the squeaking sound then try, glazing your pads and clean of any dust accumulated in the rotor. This is known case and it's prevalent on a very small yet a vast range of riders. Try cleaning the rotors, and pads of brake dust, using compressed air. Check if the pads are worn horizontally, usually pads where in a straight pattern, if you find the / or \ of the pads, try replacing the pads.Originally posted by itsmevini123 View PostHey Guys,
