I'm not getting it any soon but I will if I do.

Not sure about just the lever or including yoke. I'll ask when I go again, no issues.

The svc is hardly 1.3 km from my place + they are super friendly. Sometimes I just go for meeting them or for cold water when passing by. [emoji23]

How will the stock Metz perform in muddy terrain? Planning for North Sikkim.

Like a knife on butter :P

It totally depends on your tyre life, mud situation. But it's going to be difficult anyway. The front mudguard has way less space. You will have to open it before entering mud.

Hello everyone. I need a help from you all. I'm looking to buy another exhaust for my RC. I'm trying to get the original Akrapovic imported. But I'm getting confused. There are 2 slip-ons with different mid-pipes. I really want to know will there be a difference because of the difference in mid-pipes? The seller told me that the second one is a race exhaust and has more growling sound. Is it true? Will there really be a difference?
            Cheers

The first one looks like it has a catalytic converter. The second one doesn't most probably and is for "race use only". So it all comes down to you for which one you want,, first one would be totally street legal but second one must have more weight reduction.

                  Hi guys,

I've given my bike for service, and decided to go with the tyre change (Rear Metz lasted 13k, could have done 1k more).

However, I had a few questions I was hoping someone could clarify

                  1. How do I know they've given me a new tyre? When asked for price, he quoted 13k, which he brought down to 10k finally (Which is the correct price). Seeing how they already tried overcharging, how do I know whether I'll get a new one?

                  2. Are these the correct tyre specs? - 150/60ZR17 (Speed rating...?)
Where could I check it on the tyre?

                  Thanks!

Looking at tyre before installing you can see it carefully and you can Easily identify if its used or new. If you handle new tyre your hands will get black immediately due to rubber which is not the case for used tyre.
Normally used tyre lost its shine.
                    Also check for packaging.

You can find tyre specifications including speed ratings embossed on tyre.

A new tire such as the michelin/metz will have a sticker on it mentioning the brand name/size etc.. (well, the sticker is usually removed during installation)
some new tires usually have a green/red line across the center, am not sure if the metz has such a line.. usually on a used tire this line vanishes in a few 100km.
also just a simple visual inspection around the bead and tread area might give you some clues.
the best way is to never 'leave' your bike for service.. stay and get it fixed.. that way you can check the tire before it is mounted.
All the tire specs are available on the side wall, this includes information such as tire size/speed rating/payload/max tire pressure/direction of rotation etc..

New Metz will have a Sticker (white and blue color) which will have the tyre size written on it.
A red line on left or right from center of tire will be there.
A brand new tyre's shine is completely different.
Which Metzeler are you getting ? MC5?

Yes the tire size is "150/60ZR17" and speed rating is H. Everything is written on tyre.
Google "How to understand tyre marking" and you'll know everything.
Before getting a new tyre installed always check the manufacturing week and year, never get a very old tyre. (You'll get this info also from google)

Now if you're getting the MC5 for 10k after bargaining from service centre. Try your luck outside at big bike markets. You can get it for 7 - 7.5k easily even in Bangalore.

I can get you the tyre under 7.5k in Delhi, if you were here.

If you're planning for spirited ride on a wet and trench type terrain or plains filled with grass, it's not a such a great idea to take check the Metz's performance, they'd slip, slide and what not. Metz even doesn't love sand that much, they just lose grip on the slightest of sand and fine gravel. Remember this is from a grip perspective. Now tire being soft compound, you are prone to punctures from sharp pebbles and stones. It's not that you will encounter one, but you never know.

New tires will have a thick horizontal sticker with the brand name and tire size mentioned. It's only removable once. Secondly as folks pointed out, you'd see red, white or yellow lines along the circumference of the a new tire. I am pretty sure, these won't be there in the Metz, at least I haven't seen these rings. There might be some numbers printed on the tread of the tires which are same like these white and red lines would which would wear in a few kilometers..

                          Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                          THE END
