Looks like that new extension near front forks can be fitted on existing bikes. So fret not.

As a matter of fact I was exactly considering to edit your post for redding the plastic flaps. Good job, will help all to get an info as to what to look for in a slipper clutch, at least they don't need some biology classes. So from the looks of it, it's just a very thin plate, so I guess the casing shouldn't be any different from the ongoing models. Ivin thumbs up for a job well done, and keeping the flame in the red zone.

And all those who are wondering whether will this be on an RC, keep in mind the engine is almost the same as the naked counterpart, so there shouldn't be absolutely no reason why one would get and the other wouldn't. Any upgrades on the engine, will be implemented on all the engines. Though cosmetic changes i.e. plastic wrapround etc, can differ due to each bike's very design. But again, both naked and RC don't differ that much, so I guess, it's pretty much summer days ahead.

      Cheers!

I just put that pics because the 390's with that extension had slipper clutch and People here can easily identify the models.

Much thanks Ivin, will definitely spread the word as to how to identify the bike with slipper clutch. Appreciate your efforts.
One more thing Ivin, when is the fender extender for rc coming out? Do you have any idea?

ECU remains as it was. Bumper to bumper Traffic is way way way way too easy to handle now with that clutch. Seats are also spongy compared to the older models.

I think Akra, paying in Indian terms is not worth the money. Last time I inquired, upon seeing a white box named Akra here in my SVC, the chaps quoted 88,000 rupees!

The update is across-the-board, the entire Duke series, irrespective of the class, at least as mentioned by the service personnel here.

                    Cheers!

i am following the slipper clutch discussion for two days now and could gather just one clear benefit from it- the clutch is softer? coz my bike's clutch is hard to be honest. can somebody clear this? besides can anbody throw some light as to if the above is true than can we get it fitted from the svc?
                        now 3000kms update-
                        bike is smooth all throughout.
the tires are brilliant. got upto 4.5 in the tire markings on the way to shimla that we went again. yayy!
battery cover still vibrates did a foam n double sided 3m tape jugaad. lets see if it works.
ps- do check out the fender eliminator.inputs are welcome

                          Hi,
Your bike was from the earlier stages iirc. My bike which was manf. in jan has a comparatively lighter setup.
And that tailtidy is sick😍. Some closeup pics please.

Is it a DIY fender or did you buy it as a aftermarket part because I can't tell the difference...Looks fantastic!!!..Usually, you don't see bikes with Fender eliminators...But so many bikers with the same taste is rare ...
BTW which exhaust is that on the Ninja 300??

You are doing a very good job Ivin. The slipper clutch has 3 clutch springs against 5 on a non-slipper clutch equipped Duke/RC? Ninja too has 3 clutch springs and the clutch action is smooth due to that. This will definitely aid in city ride ability of Duke and RC 390.

Any idea about the cost of new RC? With new hardware and features, it should logically cost more, however, knowing Bajaj, they may surprise on that front too.

I am really surprised, why so called motor-journalist could not get this information from their so-called internal sources. They have their sources giving them news about launch of a particular model with some xyz feature, and that never happens. They rely on spy pics of readers to come to a conclusion. Thats a shame. When Honda said they will launch 6 to 7 new models last month, all these budding sites except Overdrive and Autocar, were quick to jump the gun. They all claimed CBR650 will be launched and criticised how Bajaj just talks about launching and then it gets delayed. Forget 650, even facelifted 250 was not launched. And then the epic Yamaha R15 v2 story.

I am sorry for the OT, but there are lot of guys out there who rely on these unreliable sites to come to a decision or plan a purchase.

Really goes on to tell how hard it is to get an insider news from a motor company, unless company wants it to be revealed.

ok the fender eliminator is DIY.
the friend with the ninja is an engineer in the truest of sense.
he has everything you need for DIY.
so opened up the bike, made it ourselves, put a hazard light switch too.
will soon post some closeup shot by today evening.
coming to the exhaust- the ninja 300 has a leovince n its LOUD in a good way.
my exhaust is on the way from UK too.
its a Fuel F1R race can.

can you please tell me if the slipper clutch is now actually coming for real?
as far as i know it helps only while downshifting when if you dont rev match the wheel wont lock up. can you please elaborate how it pertains to a softer clutch as i would love to have a softer clutch, dont care much about slipper clutch per se.
n pics coming soon as you asked
