Aren't EBC's squeaky and wear out the rotors soon?
And is the current RC 390 pads sintered and are they a direct fit?
The mileage of the bike has become worse, I'm getting 13kmpl. Any help guys?
Also I've pushed the stock tyres till 18k Kms, any suggestions on which to go for?
Rotor wear is subject to usage and the topic as such is open to debate. As a general rule, full sintered do produce some chatter/noise due to their metallic components but nothing significant to be an irritant. The current Duke 390s do come with sintered pads from the factory, but how fully sintered or semi-sintered is again a topic left to debate, which in all probability should be a semi-sintered pad setup.

With respect to tyres, you can consider the Pirellis, MPSRs, Masseters, Apollo Alpha H1 series. All are pretty much very alternate to the stock, with my recommendation being Pirellis > MPSRS > Apollo > Masseter > MRFs Revz series.

    Cheers!

    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

      I've done around 18k kms on 2016 RC 390.
Off late the brakes have become worse, it's almost like back brakes doesn't have a bite. The brakes on Activa feels powerful.
So was thinking of getting brake pads changed.
Any inputs regarding which to go for?
And one of my relative is coming from US in a week or so, so was thinking to get EBC brake pads.
Try and get the calipers serviced . i.e. Cleaning, greasing caliper pin on the rear and removing entire old fluid and adding new brake fluid and bleeding the lines. Inspect the rotor to see if it is glazed or has deep scratches. A glazed rotor or pads are no good, and might require a resurfacing at the lathe so that the rotor surface is true and had a slight cross hatch pattern (like hairline scratches at 45deg angles). And if the pads have sufficient material left then use a coarse grit sand paper n scuff up the pads to removed a thin layer of material . Again don't glaze/smoothen the surface of pads.. Just rough em up evenly a bit.
Otherwise plonk in new pads and ride for a few 100 km and see how it feels. The brake parts are pretty economical, and this caliper service shouldn't cost you more than a 1200rs approx. Very unlikely u will need a caliper repair kit (which again costs around 400rs iirc and comes with new pistons and seals)

If u don't want to do this (which usually takes around 30-45min to do) then maybe try the expensive ebc pads.. But remember if you don't address the root cause then the ebc pads might also not help in the long run.. So I feel it's better to get the basic stuff working properly before doing an upgrade.

Fe on 390s drops in heavy traffic and also the way its ridden .
Another cause could be maybe the brakes are binding.. So do the brake caliper service as I mentioned.
Apart from that, check tire pressures, fuel leaks/evaporation and hopefully the bike was serviced regularly with periodic parts replacement.

        Hey guys,
        Update on the brake situation,
The brake bleeding was done and SVC people told no need to change the brake pads but still not satisfied with the front and rear brakes bite.
And also for smooth running of the engine they told to add some 3M fuel cleanser or something like that, can anyone throw some light regarding the same.
        Thank you.

Does it work on Carb'd bikes?

              Hi guys,
Recently got my RC 390 serviced second time . And the top speed has dropped to 160kmph!!!!
The clutch too has got a harder . Can anyone suggest a good place in Bangalore for getting my bike serviced properly.
Also, how can we get the RC 390 repair manual CD in India. The local dealers don't have such repair manual to be sold to owners it seems.

CD no idea, but a simple google search will yield a pdf copy of the repair manual at least for the D390 which is almost the same as the rc.
Maybe this will help.. dig in and check:

Hey guys.. I have 2016 Rc390(17km run) , today I had a 100km ride and as soon as I parked my bike noticed the the fan was running very slow barely I can even hear and the coolant was boiling like as it's gonna spill out of the bowl.. Is it time for me to change the fan.!? Or anyone else has faced the same problem?

maybe.. but do get the electrical items like the fan relay checked (better swap it from another bike and check) and also the thermostat.
go on another spin in the city and let the fan come on and observe.

Did the console show high temperature? Because if it felt like boiling, it would have shown on the console much before where the temp would have gone bonkers lighting up the console. If the heat was this immense, it would have shown the effect on the legs. Did it feel boiling hot and the engine showing signs of being Katrina Kaif I mean super hot?[emoji16]
SVC guys can check the fan and associated electrical system to make sure it kicks in and is working fine. Do give them a visit and tell them the narration of all things that are happening. They'll surely provide a solution. It could be as small as coolant flush or big as fan replacement(not that big [emoji4])

Console didn't show any high temperature warning but it was almost full on bars to reach the limit.. Obviously felt the heat, fan kicking in the right time but the thing it's running in so silent mode(might be slow). I'm heading up for SVC today, never seen coolant getting boiled like this before [emoji17]

it will however it will just clean up the system and lines. the immediate diffrence is noticible in FI machines as over time there is deposits happening on the injector-atomizer which gets cleaned up and the engine feels eager again.

get the relay and sensor checked. mostly relay fault else the temperature sensor is not passing the correct information.

Though, everything's working fine for now, would recommend you to be vigilant on how the cooling system behaves for a few more days. I'd suggest you to keep a tab on the fan, and observe how well it turns on and off post reaching its operating temp range. Do keep your observations posted.

                              Cheers!

Been three days and did around 400 kms in both traffic and highway.. Everything's working fine but I don't understand why this fan performance goes slow after 90 min of the day ride.. Literally if I'm in b2b traffic the fan just doesn't turn off nor the temperature bar rises or goes down... Till now I've got no HIGH TEMPERATURE WARNING, But what bothering me is the fans performance, also SVC guys keeps telling me that fan working just fine.
