Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
you have to take the rim off and see if it is balanced or not. Then again one side of the tyre generally wears more compared to the other due to the road profile. But it is good to check the rim every 5000km or so and earlier if deemed necessaryOriginally posted by fayad555 View PostCheerio!

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Hi folks,
If any of you living in the Bangalore area desire to sell the belly pans of your RC390 (2016 model and earlier), do PM me. Thinking of fitting 'em on my Duke for a different look. Asking here because a second hand purchase won't break the bank.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Hello guys,
I just got a hazard lights set up for my RC 390, not the plug n play one's but KTM mech did it with just a switch.
The problem is he attached the switch near the frame of the bike close to the engine.
My concern is about that switch since it'll be exposed to a lot of heat from the engine during long rides.
Needed your help on suggestions for insulating it from that.
Thank you.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
on long rides infact there is less heat as there is constant air flow which continuously keeps things cooler. what is worse is being stuck in traffic. I doubt there will be an issue/failure with the switch due to the heat other than it getting hot to the touch if it is a metal switchOriginally posted by Rahul.V. View PostHello guys,

you can always relocate the switch to the handle bar maybe on the clutch/brake yoke nut with a small 'patti' i.e. clamp.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
The RC 390 uses H9 (HB) and H11 (LB) type halogen bulb. You have Philips CrystalVision/Osram and Chinese LEDs and the likes. Consider Philips and the stock itself is an Osram make IIRC. Whiter lights reduces strain on ones eyes, yet under yellow light they provide little to no solace, so do keep that in mind.Originally posted by Ghostfreak View PostHello fellow riders...i just bought new 2018 rc 390 5 days ago...i just wanted to ask if Anybody using aftermarket bulbs in the projectors? Please suggest some good ones as i found the intensity from oem halogens to be low.
Cheers!

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Yes i know about the h11 and h9 config...i don't want to upgrade to hid's and Phillips crystal vision are halogens itself which are not providing adequate illumination...so i was looking for some branded led's having good lumens...i saw one from phillips they are expensive and they are just tad brighter than stock halogens..so i neglected them...so the search continues.. You can perhaps try LEDs they consume less power and offer better illumination. Keep searching, you might get a good deal somewhere.Originally posted by Ghostfreak View PostYes i know about the h11 and h9 config...i don't want to upgrade to hid's and Phillips crystal vision are halogens itself which are not providing adequate illumination...so i was looking for some branded led's having good lumens...i saw one from phillips they are expensive and they are just tad brighter than stock halogens..so i neglected them...so the search continues.. Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Hello guys,
The LED inside the rear indicator is lose and makes rattling noise when the bike is started.
Acc to SVC people only way to rectify it is by replacing it with new ones which costs about 700 bucks. Please suggest some jugaad for this guys😪

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Won't be of much help. The LED unit is sealed and it's advisable to replace the unit as a whole. You can remove and fix it using cheap glue, but you'd not be able to seal it waterproof, and water condensation can happen and ruin the LED over time. It's wise to replace the thing as a whole.Originally posted by Rahul.V. View PostHello guys,
