Secondly the meter reset issue should not be due to electrical disconnection or loose connection from power supply, i once disconnected the battery when i blew my fuse to check what actually happened, after changing battery and re-connecting battery terminals the same timing was displayed with few minutes of delay(the time-span while which the battery was disconnected). So this reset issue should not be because of it. I would suggest you to get it checked and get replaced if possible. ASC guys are fools do not entertain any excuse of theirs, get a complain submitted online and see ASC guys dancing in front of you. It will be covered under warranty. Also while getting the fairing off, take care of all proper bolts and their parts, any improper re-installation of fairing would gift you vibration and unwanted noise. Let us know the further status. All the best.
It's almost 2 years now my bike is 2015 August.. So warranty is over.. Again if i go with this issue to them.. They'd have no idea.. They'll just say something or another and send me off.. I mean if they say it's fixed I have to leave right.. And there is no way of testing it out as it never happens on purpose...

All my faith is in xbhp..

And about the fairings.. You don't say bro.. To replace air filter, They just ****ed one lock on the right and it's set up with a nut and bolt now..

Thanks for the info on the battery though.. Cheers.

If the sound in your bike comes from near the black grill where the battery is then it's most likely the injector making this noise.

Also, tappets and valve clearances should be adjusted only on a cold engine.

Your question got me running to the bike to check.

Yes there is lot of injector noise more than the tappet when idle.

The tappets are loud enough when acceleration is raised

        Is this normal ?

My bike is from the very first slot. so i always had these two issues .

The SVC would send me away by just saying that every bike has different noise

I too rely only on fellow pulsarian's. Bajaj still needs to learn a lot w.r.t customer service. Their sales person themselves do not know the specifications, i went to get an ns for my cousin and the guy explains dual channel abs in rs 200(r.i.p common sense) and when i asked him what is rlp feature in rs, he looked at me as if i kicked his pet. Thanks to hopeless customer service of bajaj.

I would suggest to you to choose and talk to a bajaj mechanic who might have some good knowledge about bike's electricals and try meeting him personally outside ASC and get bike checked properly with patience. I too did this when i was fed up with the super-hurrying staff.

Also please let us know what all information is resetting, is the trip is also behaving same, is the odo reading is also resetted?

Compare it to another rs with same bs variant, if you smell a major difference.. you might be knowing how to get the issue escalated.. do not trust ASC guy's even a bit. The sound in other condition may be different but extra noise is easily noticable. Do not ignore it.

Guys i need a help, my rs 200 is filled with around 35 litres of fuel but has only covered 600 kms. I keep it filled full upto neck like i used to do on previous pulse. I feel like mileage is too low. My driving style is normal and i use less clutch and prefer shifting down rather than stressing the engine. I have driven fast few times after 1st service for a few seconds each when few idiots made me angry by their terrible driving, has that affected the engine or is there some other issue.? My previous pulsar ran 40 km on 1 litre of fuel under same driving conditions.

Also i did not like the bajaj's oil performance. Bikes performance seems around 10% less than what it was before service. I am planning to switch to motul 7100 20w50 full synthetic oil. Very much concerned about its life and performance.

35 and 600 isn't a good.. I mean.. Try to do a tank to tank.. Ignore the float and the fuel indicator..

Just fill in your tank to the brim.. Note the Point till you're filling.. Don't look on the indicator..

And ride for like maybe till halfway.. And then refill till that particular point..

Only then you'll get an actual mileage figure.. Its all about picking thay point till u fill fuel.. I think my bike drinks 1 more liter after the indicator says full.

Have filled up till brim today again. Will check on sunday what this rs intends to do. I have not noticed the smell of petrol yet.. i try parking it in shade most of the times because of its fiber body. [emoji26]

Hotheadedbeast - what is the tank capacity of the RS200?

13L? How many times did you fill up to get the 606 reading on trip meter?

I too thought that it was the tappets making the sound in my bike (mine is also from first batch), but it turns out it's just the injector.

If that clicking sound is more pronounced than other bikes, it could be bad for the engine in the long run. Tell them to do it at the time of next service if possible, insist that it is to be done on a cold engine.

If they still refuse, it's better you do it yourself or get a trusted mechanic to do it for you. Hope that helps.

Edit: The svc statement does have some truth. I've never heard two RS 200's that sound exactly the same. Some are very quite, while others make loud clicking noises, so it's somewhat true that all bikes are different. However it is probably down to the owners not getting it taken care of sooner. Cheers

I think he didn't do a direct tank to tank.. Instead he filled petrol. Once.. Rode.. N again filled.. N then calculated.. I mean not on a single ride.

The capacity is 13 litres and it can swallow around 14 upto brim.

Bro.. Even i did that when i bought the bike.. And wanted to calculate the milage.. But didn't have enough money for two full tanks..lol.

Anyway do share with us the milage u get from single tank to tank.. I'm curious.
